Almost all the kids like bubble gum. It's fun to eat bubble gum. Kids often get together to see who gets the biggest bubble. I still remember my sister once blew a big bubble and then it broke, covering her face with gum! I usually bought Dada Bubble Gum from the small stores near my home. It was cheap. I could get two for one yuan.

You could always find people making sugar figures around the school in the old days. It was not expensive, only one yuan for one. If one child bought a sugar figure, many other children would come around him and admire it.

We like to call it snowman ice?cream better. It tasted very delicious. It was quite expensive. I remember the price was two yuan for each piece. That was not easy for me to buy one piece those days. Each time I got one, the happiness would last for a few days.
Malt Sugar Candy
Malt Sugar Candy is usually called Tangguar in northern China, and people serve it during the days just before the Spring Festival. It's delicious but cheap, and you could get five pieces for one yuan. My friends and I would get together to enjoy Tangguar. What a happy time!
