China encourages football education

Do you watch football games? You may soon get to learn it at school. In order to develop China's football talent pool(人才庫)，textbooks on the sport will be soon introduced to the school course across the country. The books cover topics including football rules, exercise, advanced skills as well as how to build teamwork.

China's math textbooks will travel to British classrooms

Yi Ke Yi Lian, or One Lesson, One Exercise, is a series of popular textbooks for students in Shanghai.

Starting from last year, the British government has learnt from Shanghai's math teaching methods. In the 2012 Program for International Student Assessment(評估)，Shanghai students got the first place in the math exam while British students got the 26th place.

Pandas on the rise

Good news for panda lovers all around the world. The number of wild pandas has grown fast in the past 10 years, according to a series of surveys by the Chinese government. On March 25, Shanxi Province announced its fourth giant panda survey result. It shows that about 345 pandas are living in the Qinling areas, an increase of 26.4 percent compared to ten years ago, the largest number in China.
