When I was 9 years old, I loved to go fishing with my dad. But the only thing that wasn’t very fun about it was that he could catch many fish while I could catch ______. I usually got pretty ______ and kept asking him why. Besides, how could what I think ______ what a fish does?
As I got a little older I began to ______ what my dad really meant. So, I read some books on fishes. And I ______ joined the local fishing club and started attending the monthly meetings. I learned that a fish is a cold-blooded animal and it is very sensitive(敏感的) to water ______. That’s why fish prefer shallow water to deep water because the shallow water is warmer. What’s more, water is usually ______ in direct sunlight than in the shade (陰涼處). The more I understood fish, the more I became good at finding and catching them.
When I grew up and entered the ______ world, I remember hearing my first boss say, “We all need to think like sales people.” But it didn’t completely come out. My dad never said, “You need to think like a fisherman.” ______ later, I learned to provide long-term services for people much older and richer than me. Once upon a time, there lived a kind-hearted king. He loved birds and animals, and had a huge bird sanctuary (禁獵區(qū)) in his kingdom. He disliked harming the animals and birds. He did not kill them for meat. One day, the king was sent two beautiful birds by a businessman. The king ordered the trainer to make them feel comfortable in their country.
One day, the king saw one bird fly very high, very quickly. However, the other bird just sat on the branch (樹枝) and didn’t move even a step. The trainer said that he had tried everything he could but still failed to make the bird move. Soon, the king announced that he needed someone to make it move and fly.
A few weeks later, an old man reached the king’s palace and assured him that he would make the bird fly like the other one. The king asked the trainer to take the old man to train the bird. The next day, the king went to visit the old man. He was surprised to see the other bird fly like the first one to great height at rapid speed.
