  We went to Thailand for our summer vacation last year.It was our first trip to Asia.We loved it.We spent a week in Bangkok and did something different every day.We went to the floating market very early one morning.But we didn’t buy anthing.Another day, we went to Wat Phra Keo, the famous Temple of the Emerald Buddha.It was really interesting.Then we saw two more temples nearby.We also went on a trip somewhere near Bangkok.The besr thing about the trip was the food.Next time we have friends for dinner, I’m going to cook Thai food.

  Last summer, we spent our vacation in Thailand.We were very excited-it was our first trip there.We spent two days in Bangkok.Of course, we got a river bus to the floating market.We bought some fruit and delicious food there.The next day we went to a very interesting temple called the Temple of the Emerald Buddha.We didn’t have time to visit any other temples.However, we went to one city-Ayuthaya.Everything was great.It’s really hard to say what was the best thing in the trip.

     From the early days of history people looked for ways of telling the time, but it was not until the thirteenth century that machines for telling the time
were invented.These first clocks were very big. They had no faces or hands
but they did have a bell. It rang every hour.
     In the seventeenth century, people began to use clocks with faces and
hands and to carry small clocks with them.
     For a long time after that, men and women had pocket watches. These

     It is strange that wristwatches were not used until about 1914. The man
