In a situation like this, you’d better speak to the teacher directly. This way, you can understand why she has a different attitude towards you. Our personal bias（偏見(jiàn)）might influence our thoughts about other people. Make sure the way you feel the teacher treats you isn’t influenced by any bias.

My parents and I have been fighting a lot recently. I’m 16, but they still treat me like a kid. My mom calls me 20 times if I don’t get home before 7 p. m. I tried talking to them about this, but they never change. What can I do?

Being angry and standing against your parents will not solve the problem. Try communicating with them from their point of view. Make a list of things you wish to do and another list of your parents’ possible concerns about them. Let your parents know you have learned to be responsible for yourself.

I’m 16 and I want to leave school this year. My parents say it is too early and that I should be trying to get into high school. I want to work at McDonald’s. Then I can start earning money to buy things.

Walter Dean Myers, born on August 12, 1937, was an American writer of children's books.

He was known for young adult literature（文學(xué)）. He wrote more than 100 books, including picture books and non-fiction. "I care about writing for young people because I remember how much I needed help and guidance（指導(dǎo)）at that time in my life,”Myers said in his book.

Myers loved writing. He got up at five o'clock every morning. He worked at home in a small office that used to be his son's bedroom.

Myers usually worked on three books at a time. When he was not prewriting or writing a book, he might be rewriting something he had already completed. After these final changes were made, the book was published and made its way to bookstores and libraries.

By that time, Myers would begin to write his next book. "I want to do the best that I can do with my writing,”said Myers.

It is the second-brightest object in our night sky after the moon. It is one of man’s greatest scientific achievements. It’s the International Space Station (ISS) .

Nov 20 marks the station’s 20th birthday. In 1998, the first piece of the ISS was sent into space. Since then, 230 people from 18 countries have visited it.

Five space agencies – those of the United States, Russia, Canada, Europe and Japan – worked together to build it. Weighing about 450 tons, it contains many different parts, including labs and solar panels (太陽(yáng)能板).

Generally, the ISS holds three to six people at one time. Astronauts living there work on a variety of different science projects. The ISS has hosted over 1,500 such projects, according to NASA.

But the station’s hardware (硬件) is aging. In 2011, Russia announced that the ISS will be retired (退役) in 2020 in order to prevent it from becoming dangerous “space junk”. But the US later said it would use repairs to extend (延長(zhǎng)) its service life to 2025, the International Business Times reported.The ISS costs $3-4 billion (21-28 billion yuan) to operate (運(yùn)行) each year. Many have argued that this money could be better spent improving conditions on Earth.

In February, US President Donald Trump announced plans to end support for the ISS by 2025. The US will use its money for other projects, like next-generation rockets and deep-space missions, The Washington Post reported.

What will happen to the ISS after 2025 is unknown. “There are lots of potential (可能的) uses,” former astronaut Jeffrey Hoffman told NBC News. “Other ISS partners could continue scientific experiments on it. Private companies could turn it into a space hotel.”
