Chinese delivery (快遞) driver, Gao Zhi xiao, whose photo was put on the cover of Time magazine in March because of his remarkable sense of commitment.

Ever since COVID-19 broke out, many restaurants shutdown or only provided takeout services. Millions of people have been staying home to avoid getting infected (感染的). After the novel coronavirus broke out, Gao hesitated (猶豫) for a second to continue working, but then picked up orders because he thought customers might be in need.

Because of the danger of person-to-person transmission, Gao must take precautions (預防措施) to avoid spreading viruses during his route around Beijing, including taking a regular health test and spending 20 minutes disinfecting (消毒) his motorcycle and clothes each morning. Besides delivering goods, Gao once warm-heartedly cooked for an elderly customer who was living alone at her home. It is the commitment of ordinary people like Gao who have made the biggest contributions in the fight against COVID-19.If there's a fire, just call 119.and you know that the firefighters will be there within minutes. If you happen to go out on the road, you'll come across police officers waving their flags to direct the traffic. Similarly, in hospitals, from doctors to nurses, cleaners to security guards, these people still stick to their jobs, doing the same servies as they ever did. The reason why they are still dedicated (有奉獻精神的) is not a desire for compliments, but out of a willingness for their duty.
