In the last eight years, a lot of bees have disappeared. Scientists have been studying why those bees have been leaving their hives(蜂房)and not returning. They believe that their living environment may be changing.

Now, the US government is stepping in to help fight this problem. President Barack Obama has asked for $50 million(310 million yuan ) in his 2015 budget(預(yù)算)to fight this problem, and has announced the start of the Pollinator Health Task Force. This group will work on keeping the US bee population healthy and strong, and will show people what they can do to help bees.

Even though many people may not like bees, they are an important part of how we grow food. As pollinators(花粉傳授者), they move from one plant to another. Through pollination, plants can grow seeds(種子)and fruit. It's said that at least 90 kinds of plants including nuts, fruits and vegetables depend on bees for pollination.

The new Pollinator Health Task Force will work hard to protect bees, and build new hives for pollinators. It also plans to start a public education activity to make more people know the importance of pollinators, and actions that can be taken to protect them. When someone who is in good health dies suddenly, there is usually an inquest(審問). A coroner(驗尸官)will do it. His job is to find out exactly how a person died.

If there is nothing suspicious about the death, he will decide that the person died from

natural causes or an accident, if, however, he is suspicious, he may decide that the person’s death was caused by a person or persons unknown.

One day the coroner was trying to find out exactly what had caused the death of a local

businessman, Henry Watson.

The man’s wife was explaining something. She was very sad and had to stop from time to time. The coroner did not want to make her sadder than necessary, but he had to find out the truth. There were questions he had to ask. “Mrs. Watson, I know this is painful for you,” he said, “but I want you to think very carefully and then answer my questions. You and your husband were having dinner at home. Is that correct? ”

“Yes.” ‘‘Suddenly he fell to the floor? ” “Yes.”

“You stood up and hurried to him? You knelt(跪下)beside him? His stomach was in great

pain? ” “Yes.” “Did he say anything? ” The wife kept her head down.

“Please, Mrs. Watson, you must answer the question. What were his last words? ”

The wife took a deep breath and then spoke. “He said,” She replied in a very low voice, “I'm not surprised that seafood we had for dinner cost you only 50 cents.”

1.What is the purpose(目的)of an inquest when a healthy person dies suddenly?

1.You wouldn't steal a car.You would never rob (搶劫) a bank or pick someone's pocket.But you may be another kind of thief.
If you have ever bought a disc for 15yuan or less,then you have helped to rob artists or musicians of their intellectual properly rights (知識產(chǎn)權(quán)).
Last Thursday was World Intellectual Property Day.Activities to tell people about intellectual property rights were held around the country.
Intellectual property includes inventions,literary (文學(xué)的) and artistic works,names,and pictures.They are of little value (價值) if they are not read,seen and used.
While the cost of copying discs is very small,authors,singers and actors have to spend a lot of money and time making a new product.That's why they have the right to make money from their work.
So buying pirated (盜版的) music of Jay Chou and Jolin Tsai is like stealing from them, paying them no respect for their hard work.
If Jay Chou cannot make money from his work,he may not make anything else.But those who make pirated goods are becoming rich without doing any hard work.
The authors should ask for a fair price for their work.Earlier this year there was much talk about how much KTV clubs should pay the music companies for using their songs.
The copyright fee (版權(quán)費) also should be fair to the users.That's good for the music's popularity and society as well.

57.What is the author's attitude towards protecting (保護(hù)) intellectual property rights7A
A.He is for it                B.He is against it.
C.He doesn't care about it    D.The article doesn't tell us.
58.Which of the following do intellectual property rights not cover?D

A.Authors should ask for a high price for their work,
B,The copyright fee should be fair to users.
C.Authors, singers and actors have no right to make money from their work,

60.What is the best title for the article?C
