I moved to Shanghai ten years ago, and my hometown is a small village in Hebei Province. When I was a child, the Spring Festival was the biggest event of a year. I loved this festival best because there was a lot of delicious food to eat. Now things are different. We celebrate not only Chinese festivals but also many western festivals like Valentine’s Day(情人節(jié)), April Fool’s Day and so on. The Spring Festival is still my favorite festival, but with so many festivals to celebrate now, it is not as special as it used to be.

I am a 15-year-old middle school student in Foshan. If you ask me what my favorite festival is, I think it is Christmas. In the school, most of my classmates get excited about this festival. Usually my friends and I would start to plan the activities two weeks before Christmas Day, and we may hold a party or sing songs together. This year there will be a band show in an outdoor square. We are all looking forward to it. Also we would prepare each other a Christmas card on that day. My parents can’t understand why Christmas is so popular among young people. I don’t know how to say.
