One day, Tom was singing on his way home．He felt very happy．Suddenly he saw a bird in the tree．He picked up a stone and threw it at the bird without thinking．The bird was badly hurt and fell off the tree．What a poor bird!An old man saw all of that．He came up to Tom and told him not to hurt birds again．The old man said, “Animals are our good friends．We should protect them．We share the world with animals”．Tom was very sorry for what he did．
