Lots of parents will take their kids on educational vacations this summer．But there is another way to make the family vacation a learning experience：Let them plan the trip．
First tell them to choose where they will go，figure out how to get there and back，and plan the trip．Then，they must tell their parents about the idea．
Give them a last time to come up with their own idea．They will use research and geography skills to describe possible destinations（目的地）．Math skills will help the m figure out how to fit the trip of their dreams into their budget（預算）．Older kids can predict how much gas a trip will require．Younger ones can tell the difference in price of the hotel rooms．This project will also require children to work together．
