    An old man was waiting for a ride across the river on a cold evening. He felt very cold in the wind. He watched a few horsemen passing by. And when the last horseman came,he said, “Sir,can you give me a ride to the other side?”     “Sure."Seeing the old man couldn’t get on the horse,the horseman got off and helped him.

    The horseman took the old man not just across the river,but to his house. The horseman asked,uWhy did you wait for the last rider? What would you do if I refused to give you a ride?”

    The old man answered, “I think I know people well. I looked at the eyes of the other riders and nobody worried about me. (A)       in your eyes,I saw kindness."
