【題目】 I am used to walking home after school. One day, on my way home, I saw Xu Dong standing on the other side of the road. He was carrying a lot of books. I thought he must be a real nerd. As I went on walking, suddenly I saw several children running into Xu Dong. They were knocking his books out of his arms. They were pushing him so that he fell to the ground. I ran over to help him at once. As I was picking up his books, I saw tears in his eyes. I had to comfort him when I helped him stand up, I said, “The children are very naughty.” There was a smile on his face. And then he looked at me and said, “Thank you very much.”
From then on, we always went to school on foot and went home together. We cared about and helped each other. We talked together quite freely. Soon he turned out to be a pretty cool child. We became best friends.
In the next two years, Xu Dong became more popular so that all the classmates loved him. At the time of graduation examination, Xu Dong got the best grades in our school. He gave a speech for graduation.
As Xu Dong started his speech, he looked at me and said, “Graduation is a time to thank the persons who helped me, such as my teachers and classmates, but mostly my friends. Being a good friend is my best wish. I’m going to tell you a story...” I just looked at Xu Dong when he told the story of the first day we met.
