When it's time to teach our kids good manners (禮貌) ,do we realize the basic manners we should teach them?
If your kid is hungry,he must ask by saying, " May I have something to eat?” That's proper manners. Saying "Thank you" when he receives the food is also necessary. If he breaks something,it's important to say, " Fm sorry."
Kids must know it's not right to make fun of others. They must be taught that it's impolite to laugh at others’ looks or weight, and they shouldn’t say something like " You’re boring. " In fact,if you have nothing nice to say,it's better to say nothing.
Sometimes kids may not seem to pay attention to how to greet guests. So they must be taught to greet even a stranger at home with a smile and a word of greeting. Shaking hands and making eye contact (接觸) are also important. Without saying hello to somebody who has come will certainly be considered impolite. Besides, when the guests are leaving, the kids should smile and say goodbye.
Children may not mean to disturb anybody's privacy (隱 私) .However, they have to be taught to knock before entering anyone's room. These basic manners have to be taught at home.
Stopping another person when he is speaking or cutting in on him midway is impolite. Kids must know that they can have their turn when other people finish talking. Also, paying full attention to what is being said and keeping eye contact are important things that need to be remembered.
Last but not least, kids usually learn by watching their parents,so set a good example to them.

An 18-yek--old boy from New Jersey,Justin Beckerman, has built his own submarine (潛水艇) !
He calls it The Nautilus.
Justin spent six months and about $ 2,000 building the submarine from the parts he found in stores or online.
"I spent about one or two weeks designing it," Justin said in an interview. " I spent about two more weeks looking for all the parts."
The submarine uses ballast tanks (壓載艙) to stay underwater. A ballast tank is part of a submarine that holds water. It lets in water to help the submarine go down and lets water out to help the submarine go up.
Justin also had to work out how to start the submarine. "The submarine has four battery systems (系統(tǒng)) 一three nain systems and one emergency (緊急情況) system,he said. The submarine's batteries allow it to move underwater for about two hours.
Testing a machine underwater can be dangerous,so Justin's parents keep a close watch on him every time he goes down.
He has also made an emergency plan to keep him safe if something goes wrong. He uses a PA system to communicate when he is underwater.
Justin has been building things since he was young" Justin starts with a dream, and he keeps it until Jie works out how to realize it," said Justin's dad. Justin has built other smaller submarines, but not all have been successful. One of them failed because its materials were not strong enough.
