If your ears are working well, you hear sounds all the time. You can't switch(關(guān)掉) your ears off, even when you are asleep.

Listening

When you really want to listen to something, you tell your brain to focus on that sound. If your ears are healthy and are both working well, they can turn down other sounds while you focus on what you want to hear. If one ear isn't working as well as the other, they can't do this. If your hearing cells(細(xì)胞) have been damaged by too much noise or music, what you want to hear can get mixed up and lost in the other sounds around. Understanding

Your brain deals with the received sounds and tells you what they mean. Some people have problems understanding what they are hearing because their ears don't work well and they don't hear all the sounds. The brain does not get enough information to understand the messages or they may be mixedup.

Selective(選擇的) hearing

Lots of mums and dads think that kids have this “problem”. They think that the kids select what they are going to hear and what they can't hear! Many mums say that dads do this, too. In fact, this is something we may all do to try and make our lives a bit easier. Some children wrote what they liked to hear and what they didn't like to hear.

Are you still worried about how to get your phone charged(充電)? Now, a 19?year?old teenager can help you to solve this problem. He has invented a phone charger which uses energy from your own body to charge your phone.

Hand Energy, the wonderful invention of the inventor Michael Vaga, allows you to charge your phone simply by shaking your hand, which starts the charger's gyroscope(陀螺儀) to produce electricity. And the electricity can then either be stored or used to charge a mobile immediately(立即).

He said, “With each rotation(旋轉(zhuǎn)) of your hand, the gyroscope's speed increases quickly and produces more power. The average(平均的) speed of the gyroscope is about 5,000 rounds per minute. With this small charger, your physical energy can be turned into electrical energy and this means you can charge your phone. ”

Hand Energy can help you produce endless electricity. You can use it everywhere you want. It is especially useful for people who have to spend a long time in the wild. What's more, it's friendly to the environment and helps you to exercise your wrists. It takes between 40 minutes and one hour to fully charge the batteries(電池) in Hand Energy.
