4look forward to visiting

5so busy with/doing that

6where the highest mountain

7studies much harder than

分析句子可知,此處構(gòu)成it is of sb to do sth結(jié)構(gòu),翻譯為“某人是……的去做某事”;“殘忍的”用英語(yǔ)表達(dá)是cruel,“殺害”用英語(yǔ)表達(dá)是kill,故填(1). cruel (2). of (3). to (4). kill

分析句子可知,此處主語(yǔ)all the lights是動(dòng)作“關(guān)閉”的承受者,所以此處應(yīng)用被動(dòng)語(yǔ)態(tài),構(gòu)成be done結(jié)構(gòu);“應(yīng)該”用英語(yǔ)表達(dá)是should,“關(guān)閉”用英語(yǔ)表達(dá)是turn/switch off,故填(1). should (2). be (3). turned/switched (4). off

How (2). exciting (3). the (4). film。

分析句子可知,需填寫處表示“期待參觀”的含義,“期待”用英語(yǔ)表達(dá)是look forward to,“參觀”用英語(yǔ)表達(dá)是visit,又因?yàn)?/span>to是介詞,所以其后動(dòng)詞用動(dòng)詞ing形式,故填(1). look (2). forward (3). to (4). visiting。

用英語(yǔ)表達(dá)是be busy with/doing sth,故填(1). so (2). busy (3). with/doing (4). that。

(1). where (2). the (3). highest (4). mountain

努力得多”用英語(yǔ)表達(dá)是much harder than,又因?yàn)榇司鋾r(shí)態(tài)是一般現(xiàn)在時(shí),主語(yǔ)是she,所以用其動(dòng)詞三單形式,故填(1). studies (2). much (3). harder (4). than。

Complete the following passage with the words in the box. Each can be used only once

A. instead of B. expenses C. able D. ready E. independence

For many, going to college is the first step toward freedom. But freedom also means1, which means you have to learn to handle everything by yourself.

One of the biggest problems with being an independent student is money. College students are expected to plan their monthly living2all on their own. Nearly half of US high school students don’t think they are3for it yet.

To solve the problem, US News offered some suggestions. One of them is to create a budget of how much you’re planning to spend on food and personal care items. Another tip is to learn to separate “wants” from “needs”. The best way to do this is to ask yourself, “Do I really need this?” Indeed, if we only buy what we needed4what we wanted, money wouldn’t be such a worry after all.

It is reported rhino horns are big business. Traditional Chinese medicine uses them to treat illnesses. A kilogram can be sold as much as horn $60,000.As a result, almost all rhino populations are in danger. In order to solve the serious problems, a good way to relieve pressure on the animals might be to fill the market with fakes(仿造品),so rhinos may have a chance to stay alive.

That would need the fakes to be good. But Fritz Vollrath, a zoologist at Oxford University and his partners from Fudan University have come up with a cheap and easy-to-make fake horn that is very similar to the real thing.

The main material of Dr. Vollrath's fake horn is horsehair. Although horses and rhinos look different, they are closely related. Horses do not have horns, of course, but neither do rhinos. The "horns" of rhinos are not made of bones but hairs. The hairs are tied tightly together by a mixture of dead cells. Examinations under a microscope showed that hairs from horses' tails are similar to those in the horns of rhinos.

So how can a fake rhino horn be made? First, find out the right materials. Second, a proper glue should be used. Dr. Vollrath and his partners get a special kind of glue. It is naturally produced by spiders and silkworms. Third, the glued horn is put in an oven to dry. At last, after some polishing, the fake horn looks just like a real one.

DNA would certainly tell the fakes but people's eyes are not able to tell the differences. So by making fake horns, people may help save more rhinos.

1Rhino populations are in danger because____________.

A.they become seriously illB.rhinos have a lot of pressure

4There are ____________steps to make a fake rhino horn according to the passage.

A.people have to make fake rhino horns to save rhinos.

B.it's expensive and difficult to make the fake rhino horns.

D.the fake rhino horns are completely the same as the real ones.
