Mr Fred was a clever news reporter. He worked for a good newspaper, and he liked to argue with people very much. He argued with anybody, and about anything. Sometimes he talked with other people, but very often they were not so clever as he was.

He didn’t want to argue with foolish people. He knew he could never make them change their mind, because they could not really understand what he was saying. He found those foolish people were always sure that they were right.

One day,Fred talked with a man. Of course the argument came to nothing. At last, the man said, “Well, sir, you should never forget this: there are always three answers to every question: your answer,my answer, and the right answer.,’

Dear Anne,

How are you? I had great fun last Wednesday,J 1       12th,2013. It was a traditional Chinese festival called Dragon Boat Festival that day.

This festival is in memory of Qu Yuan, one of t 2      greatest Chinese poets. He killed himself by jumping into the Miluo River on May 5th of the lunar calender(陰歷),278 BC. Nearby people rowed boats to s 3      him. But it was too late. They were very sad and then threw rice into the r 4      to feed the fishes so that they would stay away from Qu Yuan’s body.

F 5      then on,every year on this day, people enjoy h 6      zongzi which is made of rice with meat, eggs and so on. In the past we ate zongzi only o 7      a year, but now we regard it as our daily food. We can have it any time we like.

Have you ever w 8     the dragon boat race on TV? It is another important part of this festival. Several teams row their dragon-shaped boats as q 9      as they can. The first team to reach the finish line wins.

If you have a plan to visitChinanext year, would y 10      like to spend this festival with us?

Best wishes,
