那兩年,逢年過節(jié),養(yǎng)魚的蔡婆總要給我家送幾條新鮮的魚來。我有點(diǎn)討厭父親,集市上什么魚都有,為什么父親偏偏喜歡蔡婆的魚呢? 我問蔡婆,你咋知道我爸爸喜歡吃你家的魚哩?蔡婆說,你爸爸呀,是個(gè)饞貓,為了吃我的魚,每天晚上敲我的門。父親真沒出息。
父親在鎮(zhèn)里的一家工廠上班,兩班倒。但父親很少上白班。父親每天晚上從鎮(zhèn)里回來,要翻過一面坡,再翻過一面坡,七八里路,上坡下梁地要走半天。就在那兩面坡中間,有一塊洼地,蔡婆的魚塘就在那里。
父親說,蔡婆不容易。蔡婆那個(gè)做生意的丈夫卷走了家里的所有積蓄,扔下三個(gè)孩子跑了。為了養(yǎng)家糊口,蔡婆包了山洼里的魚塘,并在魚塘旁蓋了間簡陋的土房子。然后,把孩子扔給老人,一年四季,蓬頭垢面地照看著她的魚塘。每天晚上,父親下夜班,騎車路過那魚塘的時(shí)候,總要去敲敲她的門。嘟——,嘟嘟——,舅奶,睡了沒有?屋子里亮著油燈,蔡婆還沒睡。她便喚父親進(jìn)去,有一搭沒一搭地說幾句話,然后,父親才走。有時(shí)候,父親下夜班很晚,蔡婆屋子里的油燈早已熄滅了,但父親依然要去敲敲蔡婆的門。聽著屋里的蔡婆在睡夢中含混地應(yīng)了,父親才走。
我問父親,為什么要去敲蔡婆的門,是想吃她養(yǎng)的魚嗎?父親摸摸我的頭,笑笑說,你還小,不懂。我已經(jīng)不小了,都上初中了!我一本正經(jīng)地喊。
父親依舊每晚去敲她的門,蔡婆依舊逢年過節(jié)送魚來。
后來,我大學(xué)畢業(yè)了,父親退了休,蔡婆也不養(yǎng)魚了;斓貌诲e(cuò)的兒女們,把她接進(jìn)了城里,讓她去安享清福。有一次,我和父親談起了蔡婆,談起了那些年的事。父親突然嘆了口氣,說,其實(shí)啊,這里還有一個(gè)故事呢。
你奶奶是生你五叔的時(shí)候,難產(chǎn)死的。你爺爺受不了這個(gè)打擊,想不開,幾次想尋短見。村里有一個(gè)叫楊有貴的人,就經(jīng)常來勸他,說,為了孩子們,你也得活下去啊。但你爺爺還是不能從悲傷中走出來。那一段日子,每天晚上,楊有貴都要來咱家坐坐,或者拉家常,或者聊東說西。即便真的沒話說了,也要干坐著,一直待到很晚才走。
你爺爺后來說,如果沒有楊有貴這個(gè)人,如果沒有他每晚來陪著坐一陣子,也許,咱們家就沒有今天。所以,你爺爺臨去世的時(shí)候,語重心長地和我說,伸出手來可以扶人,拿出錢來可以幫人,人在遭難的時(shí)候,就是有人陪著說說話,也是能救人的。
爸爸深深記住了爺爺說的這句話。那幾年,蔡婆不容易,爸爸想幫幫她。于是,每天晚上去敲敲她的門,就是想讓她知道,                                            
是啊,那些夜晚的敲門聲,對蔡婆來說,不僅是溫暖的,而且那也是敲響在她苦痛心靈里的天籟之音啊!其實(shí),這個(gè)世界還有更多不愁吃穿卻心底痛苦的人。他們所缺少的,也許只是陪他們坐一坐、嘮嘮嗑、說說話的人。哪怕,在他們最寂寞的時(shí)候,能夠聽到“嘟嘟”的敲門聲,也是好的。因?yàn)?對他們來說,這是世界上最溫暖、最美妙的天籟。

我體弱多病,打不過人,也挨不起打,所以從來不敢在外動粗?谟譁,與人有說辭,一急就前言不搭后語,常常是回到家了,才想起一句完全可以噎死他的話來。我恨死了我的窩囊。
  我很羨慕韓信年輕時(shí)的樣子,佩劍行街,但我佩劍已不現(xiàn)實(shí),滿街的警察,容易被認(rèn)作嫌疑犯。只有在屋里看電視里的拳擊比賽。
  我的一個(gè)朋友在他青春蓬勃的時(shí)候,寫過一首詩:“我提著槍,跑遍了這座城市,挨家挨戶尋找我的新娘!彼@種勇氣我沒有。人心里都住著一個(gè)魔鬼,別人的魔鬼,要么被女人征服,要么就光天化日地出去傷害,我的魔鬼是漢罐上的顏色,出土就氣化了。
  一日在屋間畫虎,希望虎氣上身,陜北來了一位拜訪我的老鄉(xiāng),他說,與其畫虎不如弄個(gè)石獅子,他還說,陜北人都用石獅子守護(hù)。
  過了不久,他果然給我?guī)砹艘粋(gè)石獅子。但他給我?guī)У氖且环N炕獅,茶壺那般大,青石的,據(jù)說雕琢于宋代。這位老鄉(xiāng)給我介紹了這種炕獅的功能,一個(gè)孩子要有一個(gè)炕獅,一個(gè)炕獅就是一個(gè)孩子的魂,四歲之前這炕獅是不離孩子的,一條紅繩兒一頭拴住炕獅,一頭系在孩子身上,孩子在炕上翻滾,有炕獅拖著,掉不下炕去,長大了邪鬼不侵,刀槍不入,能踢能咬,敢作敢為。
  這個(gè)炕獅我沒有放在床上,而是置于案頭,日日用手摩挲。我不知道這個(gè)炕獅曾經(jīng)守護(hù)過誰,現(xiàn)在它跟著我了,我叫它:來勁。來勁的身子一半是腦袋,腦袋的一半是眼睛,威風(fēng)又調(diào)皮。
  古董市場上有一批小販,常年走動于書畫家的家里以古董換字畫,這些人也到我家來,他們太精明,我不愿意和他們糾纏。他們還是來,我說:你要不走,我讓來勁咬你!他們竟說:你喜歡石獅子呀?我們給你送些來!十天后果真抬來了一麻袋的石獅子。送來的石獅子當(dāng)然還是炕獅,造型各異,我暗暗高興,便給了他們許多字畫,還讓他們繼續(xù)去陜北鄉(xiāng)下收集。我以為收集炕獅是很艱難的事情,不料十天半月他們就抬來一麻袋,十天半月又抬來一麻袋,而且我這么一收,許多書畫家也收集,不光陜北的炕獅被收集,關(guān)中的小石獅也被收集,石獅收集竟成了風(fēng),價(jià)錢也一漲再漲。
