【題目】 Are you nearsighted(近視)? Do you wear glasses? Many of you may say "yes". In fact, according to a report from the World Health Organization, China has the biggest population of nearsighted young people. More than 70of middle school students in China are nearsighted.

In August, a plan to solve this problem was introduced. It aims to cut down the rate(率)of nearsightedness for middle school students to less than 60% by 2030. Schools across the country are taking action to meet this goal.

Luoyang Experimental School in Henan started with its desks. It has made desks with a board above the desktop. The board stops students from lowering their heads too close to their desktops. More than 400 students have used them so far. More students will use them soon. Similarly, the High School Affiliated to Remain University Chaoyang Branch School is now providing desks and chairs according to students' heights. Studies have shown that proper desk height can stop nearsightedness.

When you see pigs, they usually in dirty water or mud. That's because pigs have no sweat glands (汗腺). On hot days, they have to cool themselves in water or mud. This keeps insects off of them as well. Mud can also protect their skin from sunburns.

The wrong opinions about pigs often make us dislike the animal. For example, if someone eats a lot, we say that they have "pigged out". If someone's room is very messy, we might say his or her room looks like a place where pigs live.

But people in ancient China really liked pigs. People thought the pig's big head was a symbol of good luck. If someone had a round and chubby(胖乎乎的)face, he or she was thought to be blessed(有福氣的).People also believed the animal stood for wealth. Piggy banks, a symbol of this.
