Hi,this is my seven  month-old Lily. She loves carrots best. Lily loves to play with her hay (干草) ball.

She can't do any tricks,but that is OK. Lily is my best friend because she always listens to me. I don't know what I would do without her.

Now she is happy. But five months ago,she was very ill and she had to take a lot of medicine (15) . I was : worried about her. Luckily, Lily gets well now.

The kiwi （鷸鴕) lives only in New Zealand. It is a very strange bird

I because it cannot fly.

The kiwi is the same size as a chicken. It has no wings (翅膀) or tail (尾巴) . It doesn’t have any feathers (習(xí)習(xí)毛) .It has hair on its body. It has a long beak (嘴) .With it,it can smell things well. It is the only bird in the world that can smell things.

The kiwi is usually very shy. If you go near a kiwi,it will run or hide. It hunts during the night and sleeps in the daytime because the sunlight may hurt its eyes. The kiwi has a fat body but it runs very fast. It has strong legs. It fights its enemy (敵人) with its legs.

There are only a few kiwis in New Zealand now. The government (政府) says that people cannot hurt kiwis or keep them as pets. New Zealanders (新西蘭人) want their kiwis to live. People from New Zealand are sometimes called kiwis.
