Gregg's dream was to travel around the Americas(美洲). He got the idea after he finished a long bike ride. Gregg's friend, Brooks, also liked riding a bike. The two friends talked and made a plan，they would travel from Alaska to Argentina by bike.

To pay for the trip, Gregg and Brooks worked to save money for a long time. When they were on the road, they often camped outdoors and ate cheaply. In many places, local people opened their doors to the two friends and gave them food.

The shoe company Nike created the self-tying shoe! This idea first came from the movie Back to the Future II, Nike has been working for years to create a shoe that can do this in real life. They have finally done it with Nike HyperAdapt 1.0.

So how do they work? According to Nike, the shoe is “powered by an underfoot-lacing mechanism (腳下系帶裝置)”. This is kind of like a small motor (發(fā)動機(jī)) that has the power to lace the shoes. All the wearer has to do is to put them on, and at first, the shoes are very loose (松的). But then you can push the “+” button (按鈕), and the shoes will tighten to be the perfect fit for the wearer.
