　　Holding the door open for him, she said, “Come back and see us, sir!”

　　He turned with his whole body, smiled and nodded a thank you．

　　When Mary went to clean his table, she almost let out a cry．Under his plate she found a 100-dollar bill with a note, which read, “Dear Mary, you have found the secret of happiness．Your kindness will shine through those who meet you．”

　　The man she had waited on was the owner of the restaurant where she worked．This was the first time that she, or any of his workers had ever seen him in person．

　　The Seeing Eye dog is strong, good and easy to train(訓(xùn)練)．He helps the blind to walk from place to place．

　　Before a dog becomes a Seeing Eye dog, he must go to a training school for about three months．First the dog has to learn to sit or stay when he hears the trainer’s call．In his next lesson the dog learns to make his trainer across busy streets

　　The dog has many things to learn．And in every lesson he must learn to do one thing again and again for many times．

　　At the end of the training school he must take tests．When he passes the tests, the Seeing Eye dog will do the things by himself．

　　Now he can help blind people．The new master may be a man, a woman, or even a child．It takes the dog and his blind master about a month to learn to work and live together．

　　The weather can also influence intelligence．For example, in a 1982 study by scientists, the IQ scores of a group of students were very high during a storm, but after the storm their IQ scores were lower than usual level．So storms can increase intelligence．However, very hot weather can lower it．Students in the United States often do badly in exams in the hot months of the year．

　　Weather also has a strong influence on people’s feelings．Winter may be a bad time for thin people．They usually feel cold during these months and they may feel unhappy during cold weather, In hot summer weather, on the other hand, fat people may feel unhappy．The summer heat may make them tired and they are easy to get angry．
