Francis Bacon once said that reading makes a full man. Books are important in our daily life because they keep a good record of the history and the wisdom of human beings. Good books, which help us have a better understanding of the world, can bring us a large fortune. It is widely acknowledged that a person who doesn’t read has no bright future, nor does a nation.

I have formed a good habit of reading since young. During holidays then, I read many stories written by Chinese and foreign authors. However, being a Senior 3 student now, I seldom read books as I have always been burdened with heavy school work.

I will try to do some reading every day after I take the university entrance examinations. Some Chinese and foreign masterpieces will be my first choice. And I will read not only some literature books but also some art works and science books to expand my horizon and equip me with rich knowledge.

Last summer, I went to work as a volunteer teacher in a small village, that is located in the south of our country. The children there were all from poor families, but they didn't have nice clothes to wear or food eat. They had to do much housework as our parents had gone to work in cities to make money. They had to take care for their little brothers or sisters. They live a hard life. But they were eager to learn less about the outside world. WeChat plays an extreme essential part in our daily life. We can chat with friends, shared our photos and kill time by reading WeChat public accounts. But now, we can even gain new knowledge in WeChat study groups, covering something from photography to English. WeChat study groups are a fascinated idea. I hardly remember my grandmother. She used to holding me on her knees and sing old songs. I was only four when she passes away. She is just a distant memory for me now.
