Last year there was a piano competition for teenager in my city and I took a part in it. I couldn't wait to show off. The day finally came. However,when I was on the stage I was very nervous that I made several mistakes while playing. My perform?ance was a completely failure！

It was only after the competition when I realized my failure resulted in my lack of practice. From then on,I devoted more time to play the piano because I firmly be?lieve that practice make perfect.

I am not saying that every English teacher must teach poetry. Those who don't like it should not be forced to put that dislike on anyone else. But those who do teach poetry must keep in mind a few things about its essential nature,about its sound as well as its sense,and they must make room in the classroom for hearing poetry as well as think?ing about it.
