1) 及物動(dòng)詞+賓語例:I love my home. He bought an English dictionary. 2) 及物動(dòng)詞+間接賓語+直接賓語例:She taught us maths. My mother gave me a new pen. 提示:常用的能接雙賓語的及物動(dòng)詞有:give, teach, buy, lend, find, hand, leave, sell, show, read, pay, make, offer, build, pass, bring, cook等。 例:She came last week. It is raining hard. Class began at half past seven. What happened yesterday? She can dance and sing. She can sing many English songs. 連系動(dòng)詞有 be, seem, look, become, get, grow, feel, appear, remain, turn。 The story sounds true. Those oranges taste good. He doesn't like English. (doesn't是助動(dòng)詞,無詞義;like是主要?jiǎng)釉~,有詞義) He is singing. 常用的情態(tài)動(dòng)詞有 : Can(could) (能,會(huì)) 如:I can swim. May(might) (可以) 如: You may go now. Must (必須) 如:You must do your homework. Need (需要) 如:He needs our help. 注意:1、情態(tài)動(dòng)詞表推測在肯定句中一般用must (一定),can, could(可能),might /may(也許,或許)。 It can’t be the headmaster. He has gone to America. Can [Could] I come in? 我可以進(jìn)來嗎? 3、must和have to的用法 表示必須、必要。 You must come in time. 回答must引出的問句時(shí),如果是否定的回答,不能用mustn't,而要用needn't或don't have to。 — Must we hand in our exercise books today? — Yes, you must. (No, you don’t have to.) Do you need a dictionary? You  needn't give it back before Friday.

In 1947 a group of famous people from the art world headed by an Austrian conductor decided to hold an intemational festival of music, dance and theatre in Edinburgh. The idea was to reunite Europe after the Second World War.

At the same time, the “Fringe” appeared as a challenge to the official festival. Eight theatre groups turned up uninvited in 1947,in the belief that everyone should have the right to perform, and they did so in a public house disused for years.

Soon, groups of students firstly from Edinburgh University, and later from the universities of Oxford and Cambridge, Durham and Birmingham were making the journey to the Scottish capital each summer to perform theatre by little-known writers of plays in small church halls to the people of Edinburgh.

Today the “Fringe”, once less recognized, has far out grown the festival with around 1,500 performances of theatre, music and dance on every one of the 21 days it lasts. And yet as early as 1959, with only 19 theatre groups performing, some said it was getting too big.

A paid administrator was first employed only in 1971, and today there are eight administrators working all year round and the number rises to 150 during August itself. Last year,Zuckerberg,F(xiàn)acebook's founder, said it was "almost a guarantee" that the site would hit one billion users. He explained: "If we succeed in innovating, there is a good chance of bringing this to a billion people...it will be interesting to see how it comes true."

I took a trip to a big lake in Indonesia with my family two years before. It was really huge lake with beautiful scenery all around. People were amazed by the endless view in front of our eye. Later on, unlike other girls, I was volunteered to go waterskiing alone. I took on the life jacket, got off the motorboat immediately and started my engine as soon as possibly.

The lake seemed broad and endless. I was so exciting to appreciate the beauty of the mountains and waters that I speed my motorboat. Then, after some time, I found me in the middle of the endless lake. I really enjoyed the unforgettable experience!
