The Spring Festival usually falls, according to the lunar calendar, around late January or early February. It is the most important celebration in China. Each family gets reunited during the period. On the Eve, there is a big dinner for the family when every member returns to get together. 　　The biggest party is held at CCTV in the night of the Eve. Hundreds of people gather there, meanwhile millions of others all over the country sitting in front of the screen, to watch excellent performances for more than four hours continuously. The bell strikes twelve o'clock at midnight to meet with the coming of the New Spring. People start to set off firecrackers and say “Happy New Year” to each other.
