We have lived in the house for ten years, so the kitchen is the heart of our home. For us, the kitchen is where holds special sounds, smells and memories. We enjoy the sound of my grandmother sings old songs coming from her childhood as she cooks. Every week he prepares a delicious meal for us. We often sit in the kitchen talking while we waited for the food to be ready. It may seem like a special place to someone else, but when I am in low spirit, it warms me like a big blanket in a winter morning. Before the school, we say goodbye to our parents and hug them cheerful when we get home.

I'm sorry to hear that you feel lonely in the new school, because you find hard to make friends. Now, I'd like to offer you some advices. Thirdly, it would be a good idea if you take an actively part in class activities, what can help them learn more about you. 【題目】根據(jù)短文理解,選擇正確答案。
From self-driving cars to carebots (care+robots) for elderly people, rapid development in technology has long represented a possible threat to many jobs normally performed by people. But experts now believe that almost 50 percent of occupations existing today will be completely unnecessary by 2025 as artificial intelligence continues to change businesses.
“The next fifteen years will see a revolution in how we work, and a revolution will necessarily take place in how we plan and think about workplaces,” said Peter Andrew, Director of Workplace Strategy for CBRE Asia Pacific.
A growing number of jobs in the future will require creative intelligence, social skills and the ability to use artificial intelligence.
The report is based on interviews with 200 experts, business leaders and young people from Asia Pacific, Europe and North America. It shows that in the US technology already destroys more jobs than it creates.
But the report states: “Losing occupations does not necessarily mean losing jobs — just changing what people do.” Growth in new jobs could occur as much, according to the research.
“The growth of 20 to 40 person companies that have the speed and technological know-how will directly challenge big companies,” it states.
A 2014 report by Pew Research found 52 percent of experts in artificial intelligence and robotics were optimistic about the future and believed there would still be enough jobs in the next few years. The optimists pictured “a future in which robots do not take the place of more jobs than they create,” according to Aaron Smith, the report's co-author.
“Technology will continue to affect jobs, but more jobs seem likely to be created. Although there have always been unemployed people, when we reached a few billion people there were billions of jobs. There is no shortage of things that need to be done and that will not change,” Microsoft's Jonathan Grudin told researchers.
(1)According to the report, _____.
A.people won't necessarily lose jobs
B.big companies will face fewer challenges
C.small companies will win against big companies
D.most people will become interested in technology
(2)We can infer from the text that in the future _____.
A.people will face many difficulties
B.people will take up more creative jobs
C.artificial intelligence will threaten people's lives
D.most jobs will be done in traditional workplaces
(3)What is the attitude of most experts in artificial intelligence and robotics to the future?
A.Mixed.
B.Worried.
C.Hopeful.
D.Doubtful.
(4)Jonathan Grudin's words in the last paragraph suggest that _____.
A.there will be enough jobs for people
B.things will change a lot in a few years
C.many people will become unemployed
D.technology will totally change future jobs

【題目】A beach town in the US state of New Jersey recently passed a ban o trousers, jeans and shorts that hang less than 3 inches below the hips(臀部) for an excuse of being unfriendly to others’ eyes. But besides those low-hanging pants, here are some other items of popular travel clothing that may also need to be banned.

Thai Fisherman Pants: These lightweight cotton pants, wide in the waist and originally designed for Thai fishermen, are popular among men and women due to their comfort, ability to last long and relative ease of wearing. But the bad news is that wearing these pants isn’t the way to be respected in Bangkok.

“Wearing them to wander around the town is considered ’low class’ (even if we don’t say it out loudly),” wrote a local Bangkok woman, who called herself “Beebah” on line. “It’s better to dress ‘respectable’ if you want to be treated well. Even a T-shirt and shorts are better than fisherman pants and tight sleeveless shirts. If you really love them, wear them at home.”

T-shirts with slogans: Wearing T-shirts with slogans in the local language on them may seem cool to some young tourists who are swept up in the excitement of being in a foreign country for the first time. But be careful as they could be some meaningless words and make you look really stupid. What’s worse, some slogan T-shirts are political--you might get yourself into trouble without even knowing about it.

Croce(洞洞鞋): Comfortable and easy to slip on and off, Crocs have been go-to-beach shoes for many tourists. But we must admit that these holey plastic shoes are deadly ugly in every way. “Supporters would hold that the comfort of the Crocs is over their looks, but Babyclothes are comfortable, too. Your don’t feel the need to walk around in them, do you?” said a friend of mine.

1Why are Thai Fisherman Pants popular?

A. Because they are beautiful and fashionable

B. Because they are cheap, fashionable and easy to be made

C. Because they are comfortable, lasting and easy to wear

D. Because they are respectable and handsome

2According to the local Bangkok woman who called herself “Beebah” online, .

A. one should never wear Thai Fisherman Pants

B. one should never walk in a T-shirt or shorts

C. Thai Fisherman Pants aren’t proper in public

D. the local people don’t like Thai Fisherman Pants

3According to the passage before wearing a T-shirt with slogans, you should make sure .

A. the words are in the local language

B. you know the meaning of the words

C. it is the most popular at the moment

D. the words have something to do with politics

4The author’s friend’s attitude to the Crocs is .

A. supportive B. disappointed

C. interested D. critical

【題目】根據(jù)短文理解,選擇正確答案。
It seems that no one can live a happy life without friendship. While a great number of people expect others to be their friends, they don't give friendship back. That is why some friendships don't last long. To have a friend, you must learn to be one. You must learn to treat your friend the way you want your friend to treat you. Learning to be a good friend means learning three rules: be honest; be generous; be understanding.
Honesty is where a good friendship starts. Friends must be able to trust one another. If you do not tell the truth, people usually find out. If a friend finds out that you haven't been honest, you may lose your friend's trust. Good friends always depend on one another to speak and act honestly.
Generosity means sharing and sharing makes a friendship grow. You do not have to give your lunch money or your clothes. Naturally you will want to share your ideas and feelings. These can be very valuable to a friend. They tell your friend what is important to you. By sharing them, you help your friend know better.
Sooner or later everyone needs understanding and help with each other. Something may go wrong at school. Talking about the problem can make it easier to solve. Turning to a friend can be a first step in solving the problem. So to be a friend you must listen and understand. You must try to put yourself in your friend's place so that you can understand the problem better.
No two friendships are exactly alike. But all true friendships have three things in common. If you plan to keep your friends, you must practice honesty, generosity and understanding.

A.there are too many people who want to make friends
B.those who give others friendship receive friendship from others

(2)According to the passage, honesty is ________.
A.something impossible
B.more important than anything else
C.as important as money
D.the base of friendship
(3)Which of the following isn't talked about in the passage?
A.You should tell your friends the truth.
B.A friend who gives you his lunch money is a true friend.
C.Discussing your problems with your friends often helps to solve the problem.
D.Sharing your mind with your friends is valuable.
(4)The best title of this passage is ________.
