I think that a hero doesn’t have to be someone who saves people or anything, but he or she can be a teacher or a friend. My personal hero is my music teacher, since he puts so much extra effort into teaching us. He does an extra Steel Drum Band for us. He doesn’t have to do anything extra for us, but he chooses to since he loves to teach and be with us so much. Not many other teachers would want to do so much extra stuff for us since they probably get tired of us after a while, but he does since he cares. No matter how annoying we are to him, he always helps us. If we don’t understand what he’s teaching, he helps us more and tries even harder to make us understand everything we need to. He teaches us the proper techniques for holding instruments as well as playing, instead of just yelling at us if we mess up. He will always have a kind thing to say, even if you’re badly failing his class. He won’t be mad. He will just try harder to help. He always remembers his students, and has some sort of special connection of some sort with everyone. He will always remember to smile and talk to you in the halls, even if he only waves, he still notices everyone.

My Hero
The writer tells us his opinions about hero. He thinks his music teacher is his personal hero, who is always patient and tries hard to help and encourage him under any circumstances.
I suppose everyone has his own hero. And I don’t think a hero have to fight in the war or do something to help millions of lives. A hero to me is someone who will try hard to do well what he or she is supposed to do.
My head teacher is my hero. She is a very nice woman. She takes good care of our study and life at school. Every day she gets to school early in the morning and goes back home late, just to make sure that everyone of us is doing the best. Whenever we are in trouble, she is always ready to help. And definitely she’s become my hero. So a hero isn’t so far away, isn’t it?

When people listen selectively, they simply block out what they don’t want to hear. For instance, many people have habits that are dangerous to their health, like smoking. However, they often choose to block out what a speaker says about health risks. They may listen to a speech and think that the speaker’s message applies to other people, not them. In other words, they hear what they want to hear and ignore what they don’t want to hear.

danger of high blood pressure.

Doctors say the solution is learning how to deal with anger. They say the first

step is to admit that you are angry and to recognize the real cause of the anger, then decide if the cause is serious enough to get angry about. If it is, they say, "Do not express your anger while angry. Wait until your anger has cooled down and you are able to express yourself calmly and reasonably. "
