【解析】

試題分析:考查詞形變換,時(shí)態(tài),詞語(yǔ)辨析等

1.I find very convenient to go anywhere with a bike, find為及物動(dòng)詞,后要帶賓語(yǔ),故加it做形式賓語(yǔ),代替后面真正賓語(yǔ)to go anywhere with a bike,故加it

2.exercises改為exercise;第四句Riding gives me not only exercises but also pleasure, exercises是不可數(shù)名詞,故exercises改為exercise

3.almost改為mostly;第五句I use my bike almost in summer, almost意為幾乎,mostly意為大部分,本句意為大部分時(shí)間夏天騎,故almost改為mostly

4.can改為can’t/ pleasant改為unpleasant;第六句It can be very pleasant in winter冬天騎車(chē)是不愉快的,故要表達(dá)否定含義,故can改為can’t/ pleasant改為unpleasant

5.pour改為pouring;第六句when it is cold and rain is pour down.be動(dòng)詞后不能接動(dòng)詞原形,故pour改為pouring

6.carefully改為careful;第七句Of course I will be very carefully on my bike,be動(dòng)詞后要接形容詞,不能接副詞,故carefully改為careful

7.加a;第九句Once I went to bookstore, bookstore為可數(shù)名詞,前要加數(shù)量詞,故加a

8.come改為came;倒數(shù)第二句Once I went to bookstore on my mother’s bike to buy some books and come out to find the bike missing.描述的是過(guò)去的事情,應(yīng)用過(guò)去式,故come改為came

9.lock改為locks;最后一句N(xiāo)ow I have two strong lock. Lock是可數(shù)名詞,句子說(shuō)有兩把鎖,應(yīng)用復(fù)數(shù),故lock改為locks

At the time, I would go out in the evening with my parents. But this time I had borrowed a bicycle from a friend of mine. I didn’t know why, but once I was on my own bicycle, a kind of free feeling flooded through me. The faster I rode, the faster I wanted to go! Far ahead, I rode as if my life depended on it, head down, hands grasping the handbars. I meant to get to Jinghai Bar as fast as I could...

Oh! My hands! Don’t come any closer... Don’t touch me! That poor doctor just couldn’t get my gloves off. Each time he took a step towards me, I broke into painful shouting. Much later, I discovered that I had crashed heavily with another bicycle, and I hadn’t spoken one word of sense for at least three hours! After some time, my mother arrived at the hospital, her face as white as a sheet, and gave me a hug, only then did the doctor begin to stitch(縫合) my head wound, not only did he merrily cut off a long lock of my hair, but used no anaesthetic(麻藥) either! Later, I seemed to hear faraway voices saying that my right hand was broken. I almost burst into tears. How would I ever play the piano again?

Elizabeth Freeman was born about 1742 to African American parents who were slaves. At the age of six months she was acquired, along with her sister, by John Ashley, a wealthy Massachusetts slaveholders. She became known as “Mumbet” or “Mum Bett.”

For nearly 30 years Mumbet served the Ashley family. One day, Ashley’s wife tried to strike Mumbet’s sister with a spade. Mumbet protected her sister and took the blow instead. Furious, she left the house and refused to come back. When the Ashleys tried to make her return, Mumbet consulted a lawyer, Theodore Sedgewick. With his help, Mumbet sued(起訴) for her freedom.

While serving the Ashleys, Mumbet had listened to many discussions of the new Massachusetts constitution. If the constitution said that all people were free and equal, then she thought it should apply to her. Eventually, Mumbet won her freedom---- the first slave in Massachusetts to do so under the new constitution.

Strangely enough, after the trial, the Ashleys asked Mumbet to come back and work for them as a paid employee. She declined and instead went to work for Segdewick. Mumbet died in 1829, but her legacy lived on in her many descendants(后裔). One of her great-grandchildren was W.E.B. Du Bois, one of the founders of the NAACP, and an important writer and spokesperson for African American civil rights.

A. She should always obey her owners’ orders

B. She should be as free and equal as whites

C. How to be a good servant

D. How to apply for a job

4.What did Mumbet do after the trial?

Fix it on your own

Did you know that a bowl of rice could save your iPod if you drop it in a swimming pool by accident? Or that the camera on your phone could tell you what’s wrong with your TV remote control? The experts at Geek Squad (geelsquad.co.uk) have made a gadget (小機(jī)件) rescue guide. So, let’s take a look at some of their useful advice.

? How to get more juice out of your phone batter

If your battery goes dead but you need to get a number or send one last text, try warming it up.That may give you a tiny bit of power.Take the battery from the phone and rub it between your hands.Or warm it under your arm for a few minutes. Then try to start the phone but use it quickly.

? What to do if your gadget gets wet

First, try drying it out with a vacuum cleaner (真空吸塵器).If a vacuum cleaner isn’t at hand, fill a pot or bowl with uncooked rice and put your wet gadget inside. The dry, uncooked rice will absorb all the water and, after a few hours, you should be able to use the gadget.Don’t forget to remove the battery and SIM card before you dry it.

? What to do if your TV remote control stops working

If replacing the batteries doesn’t work, get the camera function up on your phone and point the remote at the lens (鏡頭).When you press a button on the remote, if it is working, the glass bobble (小球) at the front of the remote will light up when you look at it on the screen of your phone. This is because the screen on a phone or digital camera picks up infrared rays (紅外線(xiàn)), even though your eyes don’t.If the glass bobble doesn’t light up, the remote is broken. If it does, the receiving device (裝置) is broken.

1.If your cell phone falls into a sink, you can _________.

A.warm it up under your arm

B.remove the battery after you dry it

C.put it into the uncooked rice

D.press it with both of your hands

2.Why can a phone be used to prove the TV remote control works well? Because it can _____.

A.improve the TV remote control B.receive infrared ray

C.picture the TV remote control D.reflect infrared ray

3.In which section of a newspaper can we possibly read this text?
