Dear Mike,

Thank you very much for your concern.

Yours,

Li Hua

Dear Mike,

Thank you very much for your concern. Recently many places in China including Ningbo were blanketed with thick yellow haze. Everything around disappeared from our sight. Some highways were closed. Traffic jams were commonly seen in the streets. Many people, especially children and seniors, even found it difficult to breathe. As a result, local hospitals were crowded with people who had problems with their noses and lungs. Part of the cause was the dry weather, but the severely damaged environment contributed a lot to this nightmare.

To make a significant change, we really have to do more to protect our environment. To live a better life, we have to push on with the economy, but it would be meaningless if we had to achieve it at the cost of our breathing air.

Yours,

Li Hua

【解析】這是一篇電子郵件寫作。主要是向麥克介紹霧霾的相關情況及相應的生活啟示,考生在介紹霧霾時要盡量結合自己所知道的情況,對于相關不知道的情況不要涉及。

本文第二句Recently many places in China including Ningbo were blanketed with thick yellow haze.把including Ningbo當做插入語,使得句子十分簡練;本文三四五句Everything around disappeared from our sight. Some highways were closed. Traffic jams were commonly seen in the streets.,三個較短的動作性句子并列,雖然沒有用連接詞 ,但讀來朗朗上口,很有節(jié)奏感; 本文第七句local hospitals were crowded with people who had problems with their noses and lungs使用了who領導的賓語從句;第二段To make a significant change, we really have to do more to protect our environment. To live a better life, we have to push on with the economy,兩個to+動詞原形的句子相并列,表示為了….增加了句勢;結尾but it would be meaningless if we had to achieve it at the cost of our breathing air.又使用了if領導的條件狀語從句。本文短語使用也十分好,使用了be blanketed with掩蓋…,As a result結果,be crowded with擠滿了,contribute to有助于…等很多短語,在詞語運用上也很形象,比如第一段最后一句damaged environment contributed a lot to this nightmare.
