Dear Mayor,

   It is said that a chemical factory will be built near our school soon. Most students, including myself, are against this plan. So I am writing to tell you about our opinions.

    We think it will do us more harm than good. Although it will bring in a lot of money for our city, there are other things to consider besides money. With lots of waste water to be poured, the drinking water will be badly polluted. The air will be polluted by the poisonous gas too. We will never be able to breathe fresh air. Our health will be badly affected. How can we study well if we don't have a good environment or good health?

    We would appreciate it if the government could reconsider this plan and build the factory in another place.
