Dear Sir or Madam,

My name is Li Hua. I’m writing this letter to apply for the opportunity to go to America. As a senior school student who is really interested in learning English, I believe that this journey will make a great difference to me.

I have been learning English since I was a child, which contributes to my excellent English capacity nowadays. Not only can I read and write well, but also I am capable of expressing myself in English fluently. Therefore, I’m sure that I can communicate with the students in America well. What’s more, I’m convinced that honesty is the best policy and as a result, most of my classmates love to make friends with me. In my spare time, I read a lot, especially classical English novels. Besides, I’m fond of sports and do exercise on a regular basis to stay healthy.
