【題目】A year ago, Marian Wilson was just-a university student looking for a quiet and peaceful place to study, but it seems she wasn’t the only one. Her once quiet study room became a busy eating and meeting place. Now she has turned it into a book cafe. Helen Sheldon talked to Marian just before the opening of the cafe. Her study room has been one of the most popular meeting places for university students. It all started a year ago when she was preparing for graduation, she was looking for a place to study and write her final project. She couldn’t stand the dark unfriendly feeling of the library. She preferred a comfortable, sunny study room so she rented the top floor of an old house near the university and spent her afternoons reading books and working on her project. Then word spread and her friends started turning up. It was a great place to relax, talk and compare ideas. They even started leaving their books behind and leaving some money for the things they used, like coffee and pens etc. She also doesn’t want a stressful nine-to-five job. She’s trying to find a lifestyle that suits her.
She knows she’ll enjoy it. It’s going to be a challenge but, hopefully, she’ll also have time to write. Actually, She wants to be a writer but she knows it’s difficult to make a living doing that. There’s a need for relaxing places like this for people - especially students - to eat, talk and have fun without spending too much money. If the feeling of the place is right, people are going to come to the cafe. Anyway, it’s more than just a business decision. It’s also a decision about the lifestyle she wants to have and about trying to create something new and different. It opens tomorrow at 9:30 a.m. so she can come by for something to eat, drink or just to have a chat.

Do you want to worry less? Of course you do, right? That's like me asking if I could send you free bacon. Worry is like black mold — it appears in damp conditions and spreads uncontrollably. And often times we don't realize it's there until it's killing us. We must get rid of worry before it destroys us. But how?
Do What You Need to Do.
You ought not to avoid tough projects or hard conversions until the last moment. If you don't do what you should be doing, you will end up spending the rest of the time worrying about the must-do things. Believe it or not, the anxiety that comes from worrying is much worse than the task we're worried about.
Get Intentional.
I think many of us act like we're puppets in a play and we're waiting for something or someone to put us in the right place. You just react to whatever is going on. We need to stop letting life just happen. We need to live on purpose.
You can't have intentionality without making plans. Making plans will enable you to achieve your aims more smoothly. Yet, don't place your plans in stone. You can adjust your plans flexibly. Accept changes. Make new plans.
There are other ways to lessen worry. As long as you are determined to take action, you will live a worry-free life.
A. Worry ruins creativity.
B. Make Plans
C. Do what you should be doing.
D. Here are some effective ways to deal with it.
E. Then move forward.
F. You do the same as people around you do.
G. Nothing can cause worry like purposelessness.

【題目】Everyone wants to be happy, but not everyone can make it. Do you want to have a good mood every day? If so, the following steps will be useful to you.
Be grateful.
【1】 They can be simple things like the purple flower on the sidewalk, the beautiful sunset, and the hot shower you take every day. When you have a grateful heart, you’11 cherish them and be naturally filled with happiness.
【2】
When you put your mind, heart and soul into what you’re doing, you’re creating a happiness state—called the “flow”. When you’re living in the flow, you’re less likely to mind what others may think about you, and less bothered by unimportant things. The result? More happiness, of course!
Become a problem solver.
Happy people are problem solvers. 【3】 Instead, they face up to the challenge and channel their energies into finding a creative solution. By becoming a problem solver, you’ll build up your self-confidence and your ability to accomplish whatever you determine to do.
Practice forgiveness.
Hatred and anger are forms of self-punishment. When you forgive, you’re actually practicing kindness to yourself. 【4】 Everyone makes mistakes. It’s through our mistakes that we learn and grow to become a bigger and better person.
Give back.
Doing good is one of the surest ways to feel good. According to Harvard, when people do good, their brains become active in the very same reward center that is stimulated when they experience other rewards. 【5】
A. Go with the flow.
B. Focus on what you are doing.
C. And most importantly, learn to forgive yourself.
D. When they face a challenge in life, they don’t fall into a sad state.
E. When they meet with difficulties, they will solve them on their own.
F. So It’s not a surprise that people who care more about others are happier.
G. Slow down, look around, and pay attention to the little details in your life.

【題目】As a Chinese saying goes, “Taste is actually a memory of childhood”. Local specialty food may not be popular among all people, but it offers outsiders a glimpse of local culture and history.
Gongcheng “oil tea” is such a kind of food that would be considered “weird” by many first-time visitors to the remote county in the north of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. Many people dislike its bitter and astringent(澀的)flavor when they take a sip.
“It felt like drinking Chinese herbal medicine. I never expected that I would gradually accept it afterwards, and even become addicted to it,” said a traveler surnamed Zhang who comes from Shijiazhuang in northern China’s Hebei province.
Langshan village is said to be birthplace of Gongcheng “oil tea” whose ideal ingredients are green tea and fermented(發(fā)酵)tea. The village has preserved well its buildings and roads dating back to late Qing Dynasty (1644-1911), as well as its traditional way of making the special tea.
Lin Fengyou, 60, introduced the cooking process. She looks younger than her age, and attributes this to the benefits of drinking “oil tea” throughout the year.
The first procedure is to use a wooden hammer to pound the tea while heating it in an iron pot, and then add edible(可食用的)oil and boiled water afterwards. She filters off the solid residues(余渣), and pours the glue-like green tea soup into bowls. Then, she adds salt, caraway seed(葛縷子籽), green onion, dried rice, fried groundnuts, sliced taro(芋頭)and fried beans.
The taste of the “oil tea” is a mixture of the distinctive(特有的)flavors of all its ingredients. Local people usually eat it together with glutinous rice(糯米)balls, rice dumplings and glutinous rice cake.
The villagers consume “oil tea” three times a day. The tea soup is a healthy and refreshing food. “The tea soup to us is coffee to Westerners”, said Lin. “But it is tastier.”
