Write NO MORE THAN 3 WORDS for each answer.
After the women’s movement in the world, women’s position in society as well as at home is improving. But how many men on earth have helped their wives do their housework at home, do you know? Recently a European Commission tried to find out people's ideas and reactions to the women's movement. They have carried out an overall survey of that. As part of their survey , they asked many men and women all over the Europe the same question,“Who does the housework?” The men answered very differently from the women!
The housework they asked people about were: preparing meals, washing dishes, cleaning the house and babysitting. 48% of British husbands said they did these things at home. 37% of Danish men helped their wives do such things in the house. But only 15% of Italian men said they did the housework; many of them said they never helped at all.
But there was an interesting point of view from the wives. According to British wives, only 38% of their husbands helped in the house. And Italian wives said that their husbands hardly ever helped them at home. The Italian and British men did not tell the truth! The Commission, however, found that Danish men were the most truthful husbands, fpr their answers were the same as their wives' answers.
Do the men you know around you help their wives in the house? Do you think the survey made by the European Commission gives a true picture in your experience? Write and tell us what you think.

London - Police are monitoring social networking sites popular with teenagers such as Bebo, Facebook and MySpace after claims that they are being used to organize mass brawls (對(duì)罵).
Kent Police believe that teenagers have been using the Internet to arrange “fight club” contests watched by up to 100 spectators in a public park.
At least six organized fights have taken place in Brenchley Gardens in Maidstone, Kent, according to one teenage blogger. (59) During one of the fights a 14-year-old boy was arrested for carrying a hunting knife. Kent Police have now ordered specialist officers to monitor sites such as Bebo.
Chief Inspector Ian Hall said: “(60) We are aware of attempts to organize fights using technology such as websites and mobile phones. Pupils from some schools in the  area  may  be  involved  in  this  type of anti-social behavior and we are working with schools to eradicate (根除) the problem.”
According to one blogger the fights usually take place on Saturday nights. The contests are named after the Hollywood film Fight Club starring Edward Norton and Brad Pitt. The central characters fight for the adrenaline rush but the film has an ironic twist (歪曲) apparently lost on some of its audience.
This week police in Macclesfield, Cheshire, arrested six teenagers on suspicion of public order offences after an investigation into a series  of assaults (襲擊). The  youths, aged  16  and  17, were released on police bail (保釋). The  officers  discovered that attacks had been discussed and possibly even prearranged using the Bebo websites.
In Collumpton, Devon, last  weekend  police  intercepted (阻止) 30  pupils  going  to  a mass brawl carrying metal bars, pieces of wood and chain.
Questions 56—58: Answer the following questions briefly.
56. What is the main idea of the passage?
57. What does the underlined word “monitoring” mean?
58. Please find a sentence in the passage which can replace the following one.
It is likely that the teenagers had used the Bebo websites to discuss and even plan the attack.
Questions 59—60: Translate the underlined sentences in the passage into Chinese.

I find it pleasant to be alone the greater part of the time; to be in company, even with the best, is soon tiresome and wasteful, and I never found a companion so companionable as solitude (獨(dú)處).
We are for the most part more lonely when we go abroad than when we stay in the meeting-rooms, for solitude is not measured by the miles of space between a man and his fellows.
The farmer, who can work alone all day without feeling lonesome, but must do something with others to get pleasure at night, wonders how the student can sit alone at night; he does not realize that the student, though in the house, is actually at work in his field and cutting his wood as the farmer was in his.
Society is commonly too cheap:We meet at very short intervals (間隔) ,not having had time to get any new value for each other; we meet at meals three times a day and give each other a new taste of that unpleasant old cheese; we live thick and are in each other’s way, and I think that we thus lose some respect for one another.
We have had to agree on a certain set of rules, called etiquette and politeness, to make this frequent meeting tolerable (可忍受的); certainly less frequency would be enough for all important and hearty communications between men.
It would be better if there were but one to live within a square mile, as where I live ,for as the value of a man is not in his skin, we need not touch him.
72.The writer uses the example of the farmer and the student to show that _____.
A.men need to do something for pleasure after their work.
B.men are not lonely when they are working.
C.solitude is necessary for a student.
D.people have different ideas of solitude.
73.When the writer says:“Society is commonly too cheap” he means that ______.
A.we meet not frequently enough so we don’t understand each other well.
B.we eat cheap food and live a simple life so we don’t feel very happy.
C.our lives are too regular for us to find any happiness in them.
D.people don’t have enough hearty communication to realize the value in others
74.The writer’s opinion on the value of a man is that _____.
A.it is made too low by the rules of etiquette and politeness.
B.it can be discovered through frequent physical touch.
C.it can be found in a man’s appearance.
D.it doesn’t lie in physical touch.
75.The writer almost believes that ______.
A.a(chǎn) student and a farmer have no idea of solitude.
B.the same life we live every day is the cause of man’s loneliness.
C.etiquette and politeness are rules that make frequent meetings tolerable.
D.less frequent meetings can make us more clear about the value of men.

Street art can be found on buildings, sidewalks, street signs and even trash cans from Tokyo to Paris to New York City. This special kind of art can take the form of paintings, sculptures, cloth or even stickers (張貼物). Street art has become part of a global visual culture. Now, even art museums and galleries are collecting the works of street artists.
It is not easy to provide an exact history of the street art movement. This kind of art has developed in many kinds of ways in places all over the world. Also, because it is illegal to paint public and private property without permission, street artists usually work secretly. This secretive nature of street art and its countless forms make it hard to define exactly. And people have different opinions about the movement. Some think street art is a crime and destroys property. But others see this art as a rich form of non-traditional cultural expression.
Many experts say the movement began in New York City in the 1960s. Young adults would use paint in special cans to spray their “tag” on walls and train cars around the city. This tag was a name they created to identify themselves and their artwork. This colorful style of writing is also called graffiti (涂鴉). It is visually exciting and energetic. Some graffiti paintings were signs marking the territories of city gangs or illegal crime groups.
Graffiti also became a separate movement expressing the street culture of young people living in big cities. Graffiti art represented social and political rebellion (叛逆). This was art that rejected the accepted rules of culture and power. These artists could travel around areas of the city making creative paintings for everyone to see. Sometimes this street art created a conflict between artists and city officials. Graffiti artists created their images and city officials quickly painted over them.
During the 1980s, two New York painters — Keith Haring and Jean Michel began showing their work in art galleries and museums. This is when street art started to become part of the more general popular culture.
小題1:What can we infer from the first paragraph?
A.Street art has become popular and is accepted as a kind of culture.
B.Street art is very special compared with other forms of popular art.
C.Many people are beginning to learn street art.
D.Street art is better developed in big cities than in rural areas.
小題2:Which of the following statements is TRUE according to the passage?
A.“TAG” was a word created by people to distinguish street artists and the other artists.
B.There are three reasons explaining why it is hard to define the history of street art.
C.The movement of street art began in the 1980s in New York City.
D.All the people don’t think that the street art is a rich form of cultural expression.
小題3:The city officials used to get rid of graffiti probably because _____________.
A.they caused arguments between peopleB.they were ugly in someone’s eyes
