根據(jù)文章下文中倒數(shù)第四行的"sixty dollars and many other irreplaceable personal"可知,錢包里除了錢還有一些不可替代的私人物品,因此這個(gè)錢包對(duì)于我來(lái)講是寶貴的,故選B.
When I got there the next day"可知,我是第二天去圖書(shū)館找錢包的,因此可推出第一天此時(shí)圖書(shū)館已閉館了.
When I got there the next day,all I found was a(46)B restroom"可知,此處我只能寄希望于洗手間的清潔工能發(fā)現(xiàn)這個(gè)錢包了,故選C.
根據(jù)"I asked her if she found a wallet in the bathroom the day before"可知,我很有禮貌地走近正坐在前臺(tái)看書(shū)的老婦人,然后詢問(wèn)她是否看見(jiàn)我的錢包,故選D.
52.C      考查動(dòng)詞辨析."pull oneself  away from…
53.C      考查副詞辨析."reluctantly   勉強(qiáng),無(wú)奈地",根據(jù)"accepted the fact that my wallet was gone"可知,經(jīng)詢問(wèn)老婦人后她說(shuō)并沒(méi)有看到我的錢包,所以這時(shí)幾乎是沒(méi)有什么希望找到錢包了,我只好無(wú)奈地接受這個(gè)事實(shí),故選C.
根據(jù)"sixty dollars and many other irreplaceable personal"可知,這些是我的錢包里的所放之物,即錢包里包含/含有,故選A.
根據(jù)"and reported my license missing"可知,我將證件掛失,也將銀行卡掛失,"cancel  取消,抵消,撤銷",故選D.
故選A
根據(jù)"I slowly unfolded the paper and it read"可知,我慢慢打開(kāi)被折疊的紙,由此可知,錢包里所有的物品都在里面,還有一張被折疊起來(lái)的小紙,故選B.
故選A.
根據(jù)"I promised myself I would help others the way this person helped me"可知,我自己發(fā)誓,無(wú)論何時(shí),只要我能做到,我都會(huì)幫助別人,就像幫助我的人一樣,我要把那個(gè)人當(dāng)作我的榜樣.

3.Career success could be predicted as early as kindergarten, according to a 20-year study recently published in the American Journal of Public Health.
Researchers from Pennsylvania State University and Duke University tracked more than 700 children from across the US between kindergarten and age 25 and found a significant correlation(相關(guān)性) between their social skills as kindergartners and their success as adults two decades later.
In  1991,teachers assessed how the kindergartners interacted(互動(dòng)) with each other socially using a range of criteria like whether they cooperate with their peers without prompting(激勵(lì)),if they're helpful to others, whether they're good at understanding feelings, and if they can solve problems on their own.
Researchers then kept track of whether the students went on to graduate high school on time, get a college degree, and find and keep a full-time job by 25.They also monitored the participants'involvement with crime, drug abuse, public assistance, and mental health issues.
The results showed that socially competent(有能力的)children were far more likely to earn a college degree and have a full-time job by 25  than those with  limited social skills. Those with limited social skills also had a higher chance of getting arrested, binge(放縱) drinking, and applying for public housing.
"This study shows that helping children develop social and emotional skills is one of the most important things we can do to prepare them for a healthy future,"said Kristin Schubert, program director at the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, which funded the research,in a release.
"From an early age, these skills can determine whether a child goes to college or prison, and whether they end up employed or addicted."
The good news, according to Damon Jones, lead author of the study,is that intervention(干預(yù)) at a young age can help improve social and emotional skills.
"This research by itself doesn't prove that higher social competence can lead to better outcomes later on,"he said."But when combined with other research,it is clear that helping children develop these skills increases their chances of success in s chool, work, and life."

10.I got invited to go with some friends to a game at another school.A senior will be driving us,and I think she's a good driver,but it's someone my parents don't know.I want to tell my parents where I'm going,but what if I ask and they say"no"?I'll end up wishing I never mentioned it and just went ahead and did it anyway.
If you want more privileges,it's best to build a track record of honesty and trust.Letting a paent know where you're going is always a good idea.
You may worry that telling your parents puts you at risk of getting"no"for an answer.But there's a good chance your parents might be OK with you going.If you go but don't tell them,you risk losing something more important-your parents'trust.
Parents who find out their kids did something behind their backs may be less likely to give permission to do things in the future.When trust is broken like this,parents wonder if teens are trying to hide something-and what they imagine can be far worse than the reality.
Before you talk to your parents about the game,think about which approach will help them feel most comfortable with giving you more freedom.Maybe they'd like to meet the person driving or talk to friends who have driven with her in the past.If your parents have questions or hesitate about letting you go,find out what their worries are and then do your best to answer them.

B.To risk gaining their permission.
C.To keep off the track of reality.
D.To be honest nd win their trust.
23.What does the writer really want to tell us?C
A.Which effective approach to use.
B.How to deal with strict parents.
C.How to win over parents.
D.How to get freedom from parents.
24.Who do you think the passage is intended for?D
