Yesterday, my old car broke down on California’s Santa Ana Freeway. It was an hour 　 1　 sunset, and I was 25 miles away from home. I couldn’t get anyone to pick me up, so I decided to take a bus. Not 　2 the way, I thought I’d just head east.
