OECD surveyed (63)nearly (near) 4,000Shanghai teachers from 199junior middle schools in 2015along with teachers from 37other countries and regions.
Shanghai's education impressed the world after students of the city won the(64)first (one) place in the Program for International Student Assessment,the OECD's math,science and reading tests of students from(65)dozens (dozen) of countries,in 2009and 2012.
Some 98.5percent of the surveyed Shanghai teachers have bachelor's degrees(66)or higher degrees,according to the survey results,released on Thursday.(67)Theglobal average is 92.7percent.
The average age of the Shanghai teachers(68)is 38,five years younger than the global average.Shanghai teachers have an average 63days a year for(69)being trained (train) and professional development,double the global average,while Shanghai teachers invest(70)lesstime in administration(行政管理) and more time in teaching than foreign teachers,the survey showed.
