3.Only by overcoming fear of failure can we achieve success in life.Here are some tips on how to remove fear and focus on success:
Understand that at times you make mistakes.(31)C Before any of us learned how to walk,we crawled (爬行).We got up,fell down and got up again.We continued the process until we could walk quite well.
(32)A Instead,view it as a stepping stone.Make certain that you learn from failure and then use what you have learned in future situations.Refuse to consider failure a character weakness.Doing so will only prevent you from achieving future success.
Remember that failure has produced many successes.(33)F Albert Einstein's teacher told him to quit school and said,"Einstein,you will never achieve anything!"Beethoven's music teacher said he was hopeless to become a composer (作曲家).Henry Ford's first two car companies failed.
Appreciate the benefits of failure.Ralph Waldo Emerson said,"All life is an experiment.The more experiments you try,the better you make."It's hardly possible for someone to achieve success for the first time he tries.(34)G
Believe in yourself.Rather than gie up when things don't work out, take it as a chance to
build perseverance (毅力).Remind yourself how many failures became successful because they wouldn't give up.(35)D

A.Don't take failure personally.
B.Work hard and try to avoid failure.
C.Realize that you are human and humans make mistakes.
D.Believe that you've got what it takes to work through the difficult times.
E.Making the same mistake again can lead to the failure in your future work.
F.Consider how many people in history had failed before they became successful.
G.In other words,your chances of getting things right on the first try are little.

2.There is a problem discussed by people about whether parents should hit their children?Or should they ever beat them?
Research suggests many of us are likely to respond"no",and public support for spanking (打屁股) has been falling over the years.But surveys also show that 75percent to nearly 90percent of parents admit spanking their child at least once.
I was raised in a zero-tolerance home for disrespect,and my parents often turned to physical punishment.And,no,I don't feel I was damaged by it.
Nothing is more annoying than watching ill-mannered behavior from children.
But there is data to suggest that a return to old-school spanking isn't the answer.
Two years ago,Newsweek reported that it had found data suggesting that teens whose parents used physical punishment were more likely to become aggressive.
Murray Straus,professor at the University of New Hampshire in America,has studied the topic of children and spanking for decades.He said that children who were physically punished have lower IQs than their peers.It may be that children with lower IQs were more likely to get spanked,but the punishment may have been counterproductive (反作用的) to their mental development,as well.
Some researchers make the argument that occasional open-handed smacks (用巴掌打) on the bottom are not only harmless but can have some benefit.
Last year,Marjorie Gunnoe,a psychologist at Calvin College,studied teens who have never been spanked.There are a greater number of children growing up without ever having been physically punished.Gunnoe's research suggests they don't turn out any better than those who were sometimes spanked.
There are some parents who simply cannot control their tempers.But I still believe that the best parents are the ones who are able to offer fair and firm discipline (紀(jì)律) without ever turning to physical punishment.

21.According to the passage,the author was most probably hit by her parents whenB.
A.they could not control teir temper
B.she showed no respect for the elder
C.they were dissatisfied with her grade
D.their discipline turned out to be not strict enough
22.According to Murray Straus,children who are physically punishedC.
A.benefit from occasional spanking
B.have slower physical development
C.may develop lower IQs than their peers
D.a(chǎn)re less aggressive towards others when they get older
23.The author seems to agree thatB.
A.physical punishment should be the last means of any parents
B.good parents discipline their children in a fair and reasonable way
C.parents should determine whether a child needs to be smacked or not
D.children who have been spanked tend to behave better than those who haven't.

A Dutch artist and environmentalist has brought a project that shows how tiny smog particles(霧霾顆粒)can be made into jewellry like rings to China.
Dann Roosegaarde is attempting to raise public awareness of cleaning the air.He has made a Smog Free Tower, which began to operate in September,2015,in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, and he brought it to China in September,2016.The pollutants are collected from the 7-meter-high tower before being processed and condensed into cubes (壓縮成立方體) measuring 4 mm to 5mm.The cubes, which can be used to make rings, are not for sale but have been presented as gifts to supporters at Kickstarter,a large crowdfunding site where Roosegaarde  collected more than 110,000  curos for his tower project.
"I bring the project to China because Beijing is Where I got the inspiration,"he said.He said he visited the city years ago and saw the huge difference in environmental conditions on good days and smoggy days, which gave him the inspiration for the project.
"But it is more than just cleaning the air,I hope the project develops public awareness of environmental protection."He said his tower project would travel around the world, visiting cities such as Paris,Los Angeles and Mexico City.

3.Researchers have developed a new kind of software using smartphones'GPS and imaging abilities that determine the exact location of distant objects as well as monitor the speed and direction of moving objects. The software could eventually allow smartphone-armed soldiers to target the location of their enemies. On the home front, the software could be used by everyone, including golfers judging distance to the green and biologists documenting the location of a rare animal without disturbing it.
"The great advantage of a smartphone is that it provides so many tools in a single, readily available, relatively inexpensive package,"said Wang Qia,a doctoral student who led the development of the software."For example,on the battlefield,a soldier needs a rangefinder, compass,GPS and other tools to get information before calling in an air strike. With our software, the soldier can have all those instruments in one device that can be purchased off the shelf. When that soldier returns from war,she can use the same software to protect her family by clocking a speeder near her children's school and catching the criminal on video."
Wang and his colleagues developed their software to locate and track:
Targets of known size-When the size of a target is known.a(chǎn) single image is enough to pinpoint the target's location.
Targets of unknown size-If the exact size of a target is unknown, the software uses two images to triangulate the location of the target.
Moving targets-By taking a short video of a moving target, the smartphone software can calculate how fast the target is moving and in what direction it is going.
"Currently, our software is limited by the physical abilities of smartphone hardware, but the devices are improving rapidly,"Wang said."We expect that improvements in GPS accuracy, battery life and camera resolution will allow our software to make even more accurate observations."

66.From Paragraph 1 we can know that the new software canB.
A.determine the speed of moving objects
B.locate objects in the distance exactly
C.defend soldiers against their enemies

68.How does the software calculate the speed of a moving object?A
A.By taking a short video.
B.By locating its position.
C.By taking a single image.
D.By measuring its real-life size.
69.What's Wang Qia's attitude towards the future of the software?B
A.casual.
B.optimistic.
C.cautious.
D.flexible.
70.What is the best title of the text?C

2.What are you like in the morning?Do you find it easy to get up?Or it is really hard for you?A group of people from Denmark have formed the B-Society.According to them, human beings are divided into two types:A-people and B-people.A-people have no problem getting up in the morning, and operate much better earlier in the day.However,B-people are better later in the day."I'm useless early in the morning,"says one of the members of the B-Society."All I can do is drink coffee, and stare into space.People used to get up early because they had to feed the animals. But I haven't got any cows or chickens,so I can sleep late."she adds.Since the society was set up,the B-Society has welcomed several thousand members.
