Scientists have proved what students have long suspected: Maths equations can actually trigger physical pain.

Regions of the brain linked with the experience of physical 【1】 were activated in those fearful of maths when they were presented with a tough equation, researchers have found. My favorite proverb is “A friend in need is a friend indeed.” It mean that true friends always come to you when you’re in trouble. Last term, my father met with a traffic accident, but his right leg got injured seriously. Consequently, he received the operation and I had to look after him in the hospital.
