My husband died in an accident and I became very angry. I hated being alone. One day, as I was  43  down a busy street, I suddenly noticed a new fence around a house. I pulled off to really watch it. It was yearbook day and we were given an hour to sign each other’s yearbooks in the cafeteria. I was president of the class and I played sports. When I sat down at a table, people started to come over to get their yearbooks signed and to sign   36   .

It was the first day of school. I had a new classmate, a little old lady with a warm smile.
