Howard Carter is brave and∧famous explorer.He discovered many amazed things during his lifetime.His curiosity(好奇心) about the world lead to his great discovery.He explored Egypt,which he found several important tombs.In the tombs,he found the preserved bodies of dead kings.These preserved bodies are known for mummies.In 1922,he discovered the tomb of King Tutankhamun.Carter and her team became rich and famous right away by empty the tomb of everything that it contained.However,within seven years after the discovery,21people who were related to the opening of the tomb died strange except Howard Carter.A science explanation says those people died because of they breathed in some viruses.
解析:
1.famous前加a.
2.a(chǎn)mazed改為amazing.
He discovered many amazed things during his lifetime可知本句用過(guò)去時(shí)態(tài),所以謂語(yǔ)動(dòng)詞用led.
4.which改為where或在前加in. 根據(jù)定語(yǔ)從句 he found several important tombs.的先行詞 Egypt可知從句缺少地點(diǎn)狀語(yǔ),所以下次用where或in which.
5.for改為as.考查介詞.be known for表示"因?yàn)椤雒?;be known as表示"作為…
6.her改為his.
10.去掉because后的of. 連接句子they breathed in some viruses用because,because of連接短語(yǔ)和單詞.

The bookshop where I bought this book is not far from here.
This is the house where I lived two years ago.
We will start at the point where we left off.

These methods are very simple.I have some friends who are very clever with computers.From time to time,they teach me new tricks for managing my email.I'm still amazed at what email can do for me!I'm still worried,however,about having too much to read.

3.Somewhere on the other side of the world,a small group of workers is busy with a life-or-death struggle. This battle isn't about self-protection,as admirable as that might be. By slaying to face the radiation and Fire at Japan's Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station following the earthquake and then tsunami(海嘯)in Japan, the 50 or so workers may have already shortened their life. They knew that would happen.
And yet they stay, working in near-total darkness, pumping seawater onto exposed nuclear fuel in hopes that they can prevent thousands of tons of radioactive material going into the air,and protect the health of millions of people.
Their task sounds like something out of a sci-fi thriller. They worked on the equipment in the complete darkness only by their flashlights, listening for explosions. They carry heavy oxygen tanks on their backs. They wear white,full-body jump suits to protect their bodies.Like Oscar said in"Armageddon":"Scariest environment imaginable. That's all you have to say."
According to news reports, some of the 50 workers volunteered to remain behind to take charge of the fire pumps with which they're spraying seawater on the exposed fuel. It's part of the job, part of the training,"an American nuclear power plant operator said."Nobody makes a secret of the possible dangers at a place like this.If there's a problem, you don't call somebody in to fix it.It's our problem. We're the only ones who can fix it.That's just what we do."
I don't know about you,but I've never really thought of nuclear power plant workers as"guardians at the gate"-those whose jobs may at any time place them in a position to protect us,perhaps at the risk of their own lives.
These are obviously guardians at the gate.In every case they're trained to respond to unknown possibilities. For them,it isn't a matter of courage-it's standard operating procedure.
