A [2015'山東濟(jì)南高三一模]

Building a company website is one of the most important parts of creating a successful business. But designing a web?site can be time-consuming and expensive. Web designers are difficult to work with, even though you're paying them. There are cheaper ways to establish your company online, and Wix. com stands out among them.

Wix. com offers free HTML5 and Flash website design that you can do on your own, without having to pay a pricey web designer. With unlimited space for as many pages as you want, customized looks, photo galleries, blog platform capabil?ities, and social networking buttons, Wix has everything a business of any size needs to make an impact online. You get full control over what information fills in the blanks, and you don't have to know a thing about HTML to make this work. 丁he way your website looks says a lot about your company. Wix does that, and it does it for free. Another thing that makes Wix the most affordable option in creating a website is that you don't have to pay for a separate Web host―every page created on Wix is hosted on Wix,free of charge.

The Internet is the marketplace of ideas: your company needs to share what you think. If you think you don't need a website just because you don't sell a product online, you're dead wrong. No matter what kind of business you have , if you want to.reach your customers, you need to have a website that speaks to people. Wix lets you do that as quickly and easily as possible for free.

If you have a bigger budget, Wix has more options than just the free website design. You can choose to upgrade (升級(jí))to the ad-less version which won't fill up your customers' screens with ads when they visit your site. But if the most im?portant thing to you is getting your company's name online right now, try Wix. com today.

B [2015 '商丘高三一模]

As more people use smart phones to pay bills and store personal information, strict password security has become more important than ever. A new study shows that free-form gestures―sweeping fingers in shapes across the screen of a smart phone一can be used to unlock phones. These gestures are less likely to be observed and reproduced by others than traditional typed passwords.

"All that it takes to steal a password is a quick eye," said one of the researchers of the study. "With all the person?al information we have on our phones today, improving their security is becoming increasingly necessary. ,, In developing a secure solution to this problem, the researchers studied the practicality of using free-form gestures. With the ability to create any shape in any size and location on the screen? these gestures were popular as passwords. Since users create them without following a template* the researchers predicted these gestures would allow for greater complexity.

The researchers carried out a create-test-retest experi?ment where 63 people were asked to create a gesture, recall it, and recall it again 10 days later. These gestures were cap?tured on a recognizer system designed by the team. Using this data, they tested the complexity and accuracy of each gesture usijig information theory. The result of their analysis is that people are favourable to use free-form gestures as passwords.

To put their analysis into practice, the researchers then had seven students in computer science and engineering, each with considerable experience with touch screens (觸摸屏), attempt to steal a free-form gesture password by observing a phone user secretly. None of them were able to copy the ges?tures with enough accuracy. These gestures appear to be extremely powerful against attacks.

Though the testing is in its early stage and widespread adaptation of this technology is not yet clear, the research team plans to continue to analyse the security and manage?ment of free-form passwords in thefuture. They believe this is the first study to explore free-form gestures as passwords. They willsoonpublish their findings.

5.What can we learn about free-form gestures?

A.     They are improving mobile security in a way.

B.     Users will have to make use of simple gestures.

C.     They will never be copied by others.

D.     Users must move their fingers in fixed shapes.

6.The experiment in Paragraph 4 is to test the ______________  of

free-form gestures.

A. template                               B. application

C.  accuracy                            D. security

7.According   to   the  text,   the  researchers   think that

A.     it is easy to steal any password with a quick eye

B.     better ways of setting passwords should be developed

C.     people had better not use smart phones to pay bills

D.     personal information should not be stored in a phone

8.The main purpose of the text is to_____________ .

A.     advise people to use free-form gestures

B.     discuss whether smart phones are safe

C.     talk about the practicality of passwords

D.     introduce the study of a new password

B [2015 •吉林普通高中高三第三次調(diào)研] When you put down your pens at the end of the College Entrance Examination, 12 hard years of study will have come to an end. Forget your studies for a while. It's time to enjoy yourselves !

There are many ways to celebrate this special month of graduation. You can have photos taken with your classmates and teachers, or dine out together and exchange gifts.

High school students in Western countries such as the United States and Canada usually have a prom to mark their graduation. It's to mark the time when kids turn into young men and women. After the prom, teenagers either go to col?lege or find a job. It means they are no longer as dependent on their parents as they were before.

At the prom, boys usually dress in dinner jackets and bow ties, though many different types of formal clothes are worn. Traditionally, girls give boys matching boutonnieres (a small collection of flowers they pin to their jackets). Girls traditionally wear formal dresses, or dress to shock or be noticed in shiny or brightly coloured materials.

Common prom activities include dining* dancing, crown?ing a prom king and queen, and just talking to friends. In some cases, high school students collect funds for their class prom through the four years of their high school.

High schools in or near large cities may rent ballrooms at expensive hotels or, to be unusual, on a pleasure cruise boat.

But often costs are cut by simply using the school gym. Students make a lot of efforts to decorate the gym to make the event special. The music played at the prom will be the most popular kinds, like rock and hip hop.

The students elect the Prom Queen. She is partnered with a Prom King who is elected similarly. These are great honours that the pair take very seriously. The two dance with each other to celebrate their election.

Sometimes teachers and parents also go to the prom. But others like to go with friends, to whom they are soon going to be saying goodbye.

If you like the idea of a prom, why don't you and your classmates organize one for your graduation?

5.Which of the following indicates that a prom is very im?portant to students?

 A.     They take pictures at the prom.

B.     They wear formal clothes or special clothes.

C.     Music is played at the prom.

6.Which of the following is an economical way to hold the prom?

 A.     Renting a ballroom.

B.     Taking a cruise boat.

C.     Holding it in the school gym.

D.     Wearing formal dresses.

7.Why do some students attend the prom with their friends?

 A.     They will part with their friends in a short time.

B.     They don't like to be accompanied by their parents.

C.     They don't want to depend on their parents.

D.     They want to be elected by their friends as the Prom King or Queen.

8.What is the writer's purpose to write this passage?

 A.     To tell an interesting experience of high school students.

B.     To tell how the Western students spend the last days of high school.

Here is some must-know information from a hand?book on houu people behave in doing business in some countries.

In Brazil (巴西)

Brazilians are warm and friendly. They often stand close when talking and it is common for them to touch the person on the shoulder. People often greet each oth?er (particularly women) with light cheek kisses. Sched?ules tend to be flexible, with business meetings some?times starting later than planned. But to be safe, be on time. Meals can stretch for hours―here's no such thing as rushing a meal inBrazil. Lunches also can start in the mid to late afternoon. Brazilians are social, preferring face-to-face communication over e-mails or phone calls.

InSingapore

Singaporeans shake hands when they meet and of?ten also greet each other with a small, polite bow. Busi?ness cards should be offered and received with two hands. Arriving late is considered disrespectful. So be on time. Efficiency (效率)is the goal, so meetings and dealings are often fast-paced. Singaporeans are direct in their discussions, even when the subject is about mon?ey. Rank is important and authority is respected. This determines how people interact in meetings. For exam?ple, people avoid disagreeing outright with someone of a higher rank.

In theUnited Arab Emirates

In the UAE, status (地位)is important, so the most senior or oldest should be greeted first with their titles. The handshake seems to be longer than else?where. So do not pull away from the handshake. Women should cover themselves when it comes to dress. Men also tend to be covered from neck to elbows (射部)and down to the knees. People do not avoid en?tertaining in their homes, but they also hold business meals at restaurants. Touching or passing food or eating with your left hand is to be avoided. When meetings are one-to-one, if your host offers you coffee? you should refuse. It might seem odd, but it is a cultural tradition. Coffee should only be accepted if it is already set out or presented.

InSwitzerland

The Swiss tend to be formal and address each other by last name. They are also respectful of private lives. You should be careful not to ask about personal topics. Punctuality (守時(shí))is vital, something that comes from a deep respect for others' time. Arrive at any meeting or event a few minutes earlier to be safe. They also have clear structure in their companies. Higher-ups make the final decisions, even if others might disagree. Neat, clean dress is expected. The Swiss follow formal table manners. They also keep their hands visible at the table arid their elbows off the table. It is polite to finish the food on your plate.
