故填after。

分析句子結(jié)構(gòu)可知,此處是賓語(yǔ)從句,從句___4___ would have happened缺少主語(yǔ),且指物,故用連接代詞what。故填what。

故填with。

故填was littered。

狈治鼍渥咏Y(jié)構(gòu)可知,此處是非限制性定語(yǔ)從句,先行詞是Mr Campbell,指人,定語(yǔ)從句___8___ flies all over the country to treat the patients of his private practice缺少主語(yǔ),故用關(guān)系代詞who。故填who

根據(jù)句意判斷此處是對(duì)過去情況的肯定推測(cè),其固定結(jié)構(gòu)為must have done。故填have hit。

故填 to try。

Mr Campbell, ___8___ flies all over the country to treat the patients of his private practice, said: “I was coming into the airport and both engines cut out. It began to yaw (偏離航線)quite sharply to one side.

2 從句___8___ flies all over the country to treat the patients of his private practice缺少主語(yǔ),所以使用關(guān)系代詞who/that

There are 8.8 million blind people in India. In fact, there are 36 million blind people worldwide and a quarter of them are in India; however, many cases of blindness in India are curable. The poor in India have limited access to primary eye healthcare and often do not eat foods rich in micronutrients, like vitamins and minerals, which play an important role in maintaining good eye health.

Many people worldwide are not even aware that they may have a vision (視力) problem simply because they do not get their eyes tested every year with a doctor, who tests for the functioning of the eye muscles (肌肉), as well as common diseases like night blindness. This exam is strongly recommended by experts because some changes in vision, which the patient may take longer to notice, can be found easily in this way.

Certain simple changes in diet and lifestyle can ensure better eye health for you. These include drinking plenty-of water, not smoking, and eating brightly colored and leafy fruit and vegetables. Wearing sunglasses protects your eyes from the sun, which damages otherwise healthy eyes. Learn about your family's eye disease history, and be on the lookout for any problem about your vision. Make sure that you see a doctor immediately for early intervention(干預(yù)) if you see any of these signs of worsening eye health.

If you or a loved one needs to cure blindness or other eye diseases, turn to a crowdfunding (眾籌) platform. A group of eye health caregivers have fundraised with crowdfunding platform Impact Guru to raise money to perform operations on the eyes of blind women in south Asia. Running an online fundraiser enables both doctors and patients to find a way out of the dark. If you want eye care to develop, start a fundraiser today.

1Why are there so many blind people in India?

A. There is a lack of eye hospitals in India.

B. People pay no attention to their eyes at all.

C. Poor Indians lack food good for eye health.

D. The environment damages their eyes.

2What does the author suggest in Paragraph 2?

A. Examining your eyes annually.

B. Strengthening muscles every day.

C. Raising the awareness of physical health.

D. Attaching importance to self-examination.

3Which of the following may do harm to your eyes?

A. Smoking a lot. B. Wearing sunglasses.

C. Drinking much water. D. Watching brightly-colored pictures.

4What does the author want to show in the last paragraph?

A. How to start a fundraiser online.

B. The importance of raising money.

C. The role of crowdfunding in eye care.

D. What should be done to raise money.

July 20, 1969 is a day that will forever go down in the history books as a day that changed the world forever. That was the day when American astronaut and explorer Neil Armstrong was the first person to set foot on the moon.

The moon is located almost 240,000 miles from the Earth. Armstrong and his crew, which included fellow astronauts Michael Collins and Edwin “Buzz” Aldrin, began their journey into space on the Apollo 11 Lunar Module (登月 ) on July 16, 1969. Armstrong was the commander of the mission (任務(wù)) and he was the one who piloted the aircraft to the surface of the moon. At almost 11 pm on July 20, 1969, Armstrong exited the craft and set foot on the moon, saying the now famous words, “That’s one small step for a man, one giant leap for mankind.”

Aldrin later exited the Apollo 11 Lunar Module as he and Armstrong collected samples (樣品) from the moon that they could bring back to the Earth with them and study. Also, they took photographs of the moon and its surroundings as well as their footprints on the moon. Michael Collins, the third member of the crew, remained in the command module during this time.

The mission began its return from the moon on July 24, 1969, four days after its historic landing. The Apollo 11 returned, landing just west of Hawaii in the Pacific Ocean. The three-member crew was kept away from others for three weeks just to be sure they were not carrying any unknown diseases or illnesses. A. The first time man has landed on the moon.

B. Three members’ successful cooperation.

C. Mankind’s first time to know the unknown.

D. The shortening distance between the moon and the Earth.

3What did Michael Collins do as the others were collecting samples?

A. He studied the samples. B. He also collected samples.

C. He took some photographs. D. He stayed in the command module.

4Why were the astronauts kept away from others after their return?

A. Because they had become ill.

B. Because they needed to take a good rest.

C. Because they carried unknown diseases on them.

D. Because they might have brought back hidden dangers.
