My best friends gave me a present in a box on my birthday. It was a little heavy, which made me very curiously. So I intended to open it at once but she prevented me do so. Last Sunday, some of my classmates and I went to the West Lake for fun. I noticed an old dustman collecting rubbish throw about by visitors. He was apparently having great difficulty collect some small items, especially cigarette butts. An idea was occurred to me. Why not help him collect rubbish? Much to their joy, all my classmates agreed and were willing help. So we work hard together with the dustman and collected lots of rubbish. Then we parted but waved farewell to the thankful dustman. Tiredly as I was, I felt really happy. I truly believe we’ll have an harmonious society if everybody takes action. How a fine deed!

Nowadays, the majority of citizens consider an ordinary job bored or even valueless. In our ordinary life, there are many ordinary people, and they have made extraordinary contributions. For an example, cleaners’ jobs are one of the hardest job. Every early morning, when we are deeply in our sleeping, dustmen have begun their daily work. With our sweat and diligent work, streets are clean and tidy. If there were no cleaners, our streets will be full of rubbish. There would be a lot of flies and rats nowhere. People living in the city would suffer from terrible diseases.

Mistakes are unavoidable in life. But attitudes towards them may have a big difference. I still remember that my spoken English improved. In beginning, I always kept silent in the oral class to prevent myself from make mistakes. Before long my teacher knew about his situation. He encouraged me to speak out what I wanted to say regardless on mistakes. Whenever I have made mistakes and felt discouraged, my teacher and classmate would help me figure out how I could avoid them in the future. With time going by, I built up my confidence and now I can talk fluent in English. However, we just need to learn a lesson from the mistakes in order to improve our English.
