With the fast development of technology, we enjoy its convenience as well suffer the troubles which we human beings can never afford to ignore.

Which is seen everywhere, people nowadays lived a life on the go with a mobile phone which make them available at any time. Otherwise , they may bend over the phone even when they are seating face to face, lacking in heart-to-heart communication. What's more, we are faced with more serious food problems which by turn contribute to more deadly diseases like cancers.

As a matter of fact, human beings are blame for all these problems. If we wish to leave our next generations a still beautiful world, we have to take actions from now on, such as stopping destroying the earth by cutting off trees.

【1】加as

【2】which改為 as

【3】make改為makes

【4】Otherwise改為However

【5】seating改為sitting

【6】more改為worse

【7】by turn改為 in turn

【8】加上to

【9】actions改為action

【10】off 改為down

【1】加as.本句中as well as(也,又)可以連接兩個(gè)并列的主語(yǔ)和謂語(yǔ)及賓語(yǔ)結(jié)構(gòu),而as well(也,又)通常位于句末,本句意為:我們享受到了科技的便利同時(shí)也受基困擾。

【2】which改為 as;根據(jù)句子結(jié)構(gòu),as可以引導(dǎo)定語(yǔ)從句,位于句首,句中或者句末,而which引導(dǎo)定語(yǔ)從句時(shí)只能位于句中或者句末。故將which改為 as。

【3】make改為makes,根據(jù)句子結(jié)構(gòu)which引導(dǎo)限制性定語(yǔ)從句修飾前面的先行詞a mobile phone,為單數(shù)名詞,故make改為makes

However

If you seat yourself somewhere, you sit down.

【6】more改為worse;根據(jù)本句句意更加糟糕的是,我們要面臨更加嚴(yán)峻的食物問(wèn)題;what’s more表遞進(jìn),另外,再者;而what’s worse:更加糟糕的是…….

【7】by turn改為 in turn.其實(shí)by turn:輪流,依;in turn:反過(guò)來(lái)。本句which in turn contribute to more deadly diseases like cancers. 故by turn改為 in turn

【8】加上to ;構(gòu)成固定結(jié)構(gòu)be to blame for sth因某事而受到指責(zé)。 故加上to

If business success is what you want, than you need to take action.

【10】off 改為down. 本句中動(dòng)詞短語(yǔ)cut off 切掉;隔離;cut down砍倒,削減。故將off 改為down

Long-Lost Lander Found on Mars

Christmas 2003 was bittersweet for Mars scientists. Because one gift they 【1】 (desperate)wanted never arrived: The British-built spacecraft Beagle 2 2 (schedule)to land on the Red Planet, radio home the good news and begin a search for life. Instead, mission 3 (control) heard nothing. They finally declared the Beagle 2 lost after months of silence. Many space scientists thought 4 crash-landed or broke up in the thin Martian atmosphere.

But now Beagle 2’s final resting place has been found. New images from NASA’s Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter showed the spacecraft in its 5 (intend) landing region, an enormous impact basin near the Martian equator.

By now, investigators 6 (gather) enough information to piece together 7 probably went wrong: the probe’s solar panels seem to have only partially spread out, throttling(限制) Beagle 2’s power 8 preventing it from phoning home. Without contact with mission control, the probe could not perform any science .

However, the lander appears 9 (damage) and in good condition, and the remains of a parachute and an atmospheric-entry cover lie hundreds of meters away. Beagle 2 may now be considered a partial success, 【10 (deliver) the United Kingdom a very late Christmas gift: the nation’s first soft landing on another planet.

Kieron Williamson, a seven-year-old British boy, is being recognized as an art genius after selling 16 paintings for 18, 000 pounds in just 14 minutes. This boy has artistic skills that would

be the envy of any serious painter and drawn comparisons to Pablo Picasso, a child prodigy(神童)who became one of the most recognized artists of the 20th century. It all began on a family holiday to Cornwall on the southwest English coast when Kieron was five. Inspired by the view, he asked his parents for his first sketch-pad (速寫紙). From that moment on, he became deeply interested. While supportive, Kierons parents are careful not to push their son. He only paints when and what he wants.

He has a waiting list of hundreds and requests for his works have been flooding in. His father said a sale of Kieron’s works held in November even drew a buyer from Japan. “We had people driving down that night, there were people on the door waiting to come in the morning who had been standing outside, the phones were going mad as soon as the door opened at nine o’clock and within 14 minutes all the 16 pictures had gone, ” he said.

All this talent, money and high praise could so easily go to a young boy’s head, but Kieron said his friends keep him grounded. “Some of them want to be as good as me and some of them think. . . Umn, ‘you are not too special’,” he said.

Kieron’s favourite painter is British artist Edward Seago and he has spent some of his earnings buying a work by his hero. The rest is being invested by his parents until he reaches 25. Kieron’s parents and his younger sister Billi-Jo don’t see him as anything other than a normal seven-year-old boy who likes to tear around the house and who’s mad about football. But for now, with so much still to learn, there’s only one thing he wants to be when he grows up. He said, “I think I’ll definitely be an artist. ”
