Today is the happy d ay in this holiday. Although I was very tired, but I found myself in these busy days. I am afraid of taken a bus usually, the awful smell of the bus drive I made make me feel carsick. But today I did feel carsick. I can defeat carsickness finally. At night I went out with an old friend who I ever like him, but all of us were busy in the examination at the high school that we hadn't been together. I was such surprised as I received his calling. At first, I thought we would never meet before we graduated. Thank him gave me a happy day!

【答案】happy錯(cuò)誤,改為happiest;去掉but;taken錯(cuò)誤,改為taking;I錯(cuò)誤,改為me;did錯(cuò)誤,改為didn't或did后加not;like錯(cuò)誤,改為liked;all 錯(cuò)誤,改為both;in 錯(cuò)誤,改為with;as錯(cuò)誤,改為that;before錯(cuò)誤,改為after
⑤did錯(cuò)誤,改為didn't或did后加not 上文說(shuō)到,通常我害怕坐公共汽車,汽車難聞的氣味讓我發(fā)瘋,使我感到暈車。
⑦all 錯(cuò)誤,改為both 考查代詞。
⑧in 錯(cuò)誤,改為with 考查固定搭配be busy with sth忙于做某事。
⑨as錯(cuò)誤,改為that 考查so和such的區(qū)別。 所以將such改為so。
⑩ before錯(cuò)誤,改為after 考查連詞。

People used to say that horses sweat, men perspire(流汗), and ladies glow. Now that most of us live a healthy lifestyle which includes exercise, we all sweat! The main reason our bodies produce sweat is to help us cool down. As you exercise or sit in the hot sun, your body temperature rises and your sweat glands(腺) get to work passing liquid through your skin. When your sticky sweat evaporates, it cools your skin and helps your body stay at a healthy temperature.
You may think that the sweatiest people at the gym are the ones who are out-of-shape. In fact the better shape you are in, the more you sweat! With lots of exercise heating your body regularly, your 3 million sweat glands will grow larger so they can cool you down faster. But it’s not all about exercise: genes determine how likely you are to sweat, and there isn’t much you can do to change it! On a very hot day, an average person will sweat 3 pints of liquid an hour, but someone used to the heat will sweat 8-5 pints in an hour! No wonder it’s important to drink lots and lots of water when the sun beats down.
Staying comfortable in the heat will mean sweating, but there are other ways to keep cool. Stay in the shade and dress in light colors and natural fabrics like cotton. Wear a light hat that will shade your face but will still let heat escape from your head. Drink a lot of cool liquids to rehydrate. If you are sweating a lot, you will be losing salt as well as water through your skin, so you may want a salty snack. Sweat is odorless, but the bacteria that live in it can smell bad. Keeping clean will help your friends stay friendly all summer long!

You have probably heard of the Mozart effect. It’s the idea that if children or even babies listen to music composed by Mozart, they will become more intelligent. A quick Internet search reveals plenty of products to assist you in the task. Whatever your age there are CDs and books to help you taste the power of Mozart’s music, but when it comes to scientific evidence that it can make you more clever, the picture is more mixed.

The phrase “the Mozart effect” was made up in 1991, but it was a study described two years later in the journal Nature that sparked(激發(fā)) real media and public interest about the idea that listening to classical music somehow improves the brain. It is one of those ideas that sound reasonable. Mozart was undoubtedly a genius himself; his music is complex and there is a hope that if we listen to enough of it, we’ll become more intelligent.

The idea took off, with thousands of parents playing Mozart to their children, and in 1998 Zell Miller, the Governor of the state of Georgia in the US, even asked for money to be set aside in the state budget so that every newborn baby could be sent a CD of classical music. It was not just babies and children who were exposed to Mozart’s music on purpose, even an Italian farmer proudly explained that the cows were played Mozart three times a day to help them to produce better milk.

I’ll leave the debate on the impact on milk yield to farmers, but what about the evidence that listening to Mozart makes people more intelligent? More research was carried out but an analysis of sixteen different studies confirmed that listening to music does lead to a temporary improvement in the ability to handle shapes mentally, but the benefits are short-lived and it doesn’t make us more intelligent.

1What can we learn from paragraph 1?

A. Mozart composed many musical pieces for children.

B. Children listening to Mozart will be more intelligent.

C. There are few products on the Internet about Mozart’s music.

D. There is little scientific evidence to support Mozart effect.

2The underlined sentence in paragraph 3 suggests that ________.

A. people were strongly against the idea

B. the idea was accepted by many people

C. Mozart played an important part in people’s life

D. the US government helped promote the idea

3What is the author’s attitude towards the Mozart effect?
