Students need enough sports and activities to keep fit and relax, and in some schools students are not giving enough time to do outdoor activities. Teachers ask students to spend most of their time at studies. But if students feel tired, they can’t pay attention to that they’re studying. They will be in a bad health. It’s also not good for his studies. In my opinions, it’s important give students enough time to do outdoor activities. Then they will enjoy better health and work hard. So please pay more attention to student health and growth.

【題目】It’s no secret that doing good makes others happy but did you know it can make you happy as well?

According to a study, people participating in meaningful activities were happier and felt that their lives had more purpose than people who only engaged in pleasure-seeking behaviors.

Try giving these four things to others to start your journey to a happier and healthier lifestyle.

1. Your Time

With a busy life, it can be hard to find any time to give away. However, volunteering your time has great benefits, including making new friends and connections, learning new skills and even advancing your career.

According to a paper about the link between health and volunteering, volunteering is connected with lower instances of depression and reduces the risk of dying by 22 percent.

2. Your Attention

Most of us think we’re good listeners, but according to psychologist Paul Donoghue, most people are aware that others don’t listen as well as they could. In addition, they’re not fully aware that they themselves aren’t listening.

When practicing mindfulness meditation(正念禪修), you focus on what you experience in the moment and let your thoughts and emotions pass through without judgment. Did you know that giving someone your undivided attention helps you also? When done well, active listening strengthens your focus-which is a major part of good meditation.

3. Your Compassion

The psychological meaning of compassion is the ability to understand another person’s emotional state. Compassion differs from empathy(移情) in that those who experience compassion not only put themselves in another person’s shoes, but also want to reduce that person’s suffering.

A brain-imaging study showed that the brain’s pleasure centers are equally active when we give money to the poor as when we receive money ourselves.

4. Your Money

According to an experiment, those who spend money on other people are significantly happier than those who spend the same quantity of money on themselves.

Whether or not you can offer other gifts, donating money helps make real change happen. It represents time spent, compassion and careful attention to the needs of others.

【1】Who is the happiest according to the study mentioned in Paragraph 2?

A. Bill, who is often invited to play golf by his wealthy uncle.

B. Tom, who is on the way to be the richest man in the world.

C. Mike, who is not well-off but often does what he can to those in need.

D. John, who is a disabled young man but has married a very beautiful girl.

【2】What does the underlined word “depression” in Paragraph 5 mean?

A. pleasure B. unhappiness

C. connection D. misunderstanding

【3】Which of the four gifts matters most according to the author?

A. Time. B. Money. C. Attention. D. Compassion.

【4】What is the purpose of the passage?

A. To encourage people to help others.

B. To give the meaning of “happiness”.

【題目】 Many environmentalists and entrepreneurs are looking for ideas on how to “capture gold” that is, how to collect and convert plastic waste into new plastic or fuel.

OK, describing plastic waste as potential “gold” may be overdoing it. But the campaigners say that publicizing the notion that plastic is worth something may help reduce the amount of waste that ends up in oceans and the bellies of sea creatures.

To that end, they have set up a competition inviting members of the public to submit ideas online. Organizers will take the best ones to the Rio+20 Earth Summit (峰會(huì)) in Rio de Janeiro next month, where they are planning a daylong side event called Plasticity focusing on issues related to plastic pollution.

The plastic waste problem is gaining broader attention as environmentalists, scientists, manufacturers and the public become more aware of the sheer volume of the stuff that finds its way into the sea.

More than 260 million metric tons of plastic are now produced per year, according to the trade association PlasticsEurope. The majority of that is not recycled. Most of it ends up in landfill, and a significant amount ends up as litter on land, in rivers and in the oceans.

Technological advances have made clear that it is possible to reuse much of this plastic by turning it into fuel or new products. Yet the companies that have come up with such solutions have not achieved the economies of scale that would allow them to function profitably. Insufficient waste-collection and recycling systems in most countries also stand in the way of trash to cash concept, said Doug Woodring, an environmental entrepreneur in Hong Kong who is among the organizer of the Plasticity forum(論壇) in Rio.

Rather than breast-beating, the form aims to highlight some of the technologies and ideas out there for collection and reuse. My personal favorite for now is a vacuum cleaner with plastic parts made from plastic waste.

【1】What do the campaigners like to do exactly?

A. To describe plastic waste as potential “gold”.

B. To invite members of the public to their forum.

C. To collect ideas on how to recycle plastic waste.

D. To hold a competition on how to deal with environmental pollution.

【2】The underlined part “trash to cash” most probably means ”.

A. applying modern technology to recycling systems

B. collecting sufficient plastic waste for future use

C. establishing many environmental businesses

D. turning plastic waste into fuel or new products

【3】According to Doug Woodring, the companies that want to reuse plastic waste .

A. have collected enough waste to be used

B. have no practical solutions

C. haven’t reached profitable scale

D. lack technological advances

【4】What can be the best title for the text?

A. Earth Summit = Way Out?

B. Plastic Waste = Great Wealth?

C. Waste Recycling = Green Life?

D. New Technology = Little Waste?
