    Ever seen a British judge or barrister(大律師)wearing funny clothes? It is tradition for them to wear a gown(長(zhǎng)袍)and a wig(假發(fā)).This tradition is hundreds of years old.

    The wig is a very important part of the costume.King Louis XIII of France made wigs popular in 1624.He went bald when he was very young so he started to wear one.He started a fashion for wearing wigs that would last for over 100 years!
