Thank you!

【4】are-is
【5】nervously-nervous
【6】feel后加it
【7】去掉with
【8】But-And
【9】advices-advice
【10】many-more
【4】are-is 因?yàn)镺ne是句子的主語,可知后面的謂語動詞用單數(shù)形式,故把a(bǔ)re-is。
【6】feel后加it 在I feel difficult to learn words by heart.
故去掉with。
【9】advices-advice advice是不可數(shù)名詞,故把a(bǔ)dvices-advice。
【10】many-more 根據(jù)后看的than可知是比較級,故把many-more。
2.of great use =very useful;of great importance=very important;of great value=very valuable

Recently, as the development of the Internet, there is a kind of language calling the Web Language. The other day our class had a discussion about if we should welcome the Web Language.
Forty percent of the students think it ridiculous. They argue that it does no good to help people communicate, nor is it useful for learning languages. Beside, it'll make Chinese more standard and pure, finally ruining our mother tongue. However, 69% of our class is fond of it. They think it is simple, convenient and helpful in expressing them. What's more, it may make the language more interesting.
Personally, it’s not good habit to use the Web Language. It may be popular, but you may also make yourself be misunderstood.

Remembering names is an important social skill. 【1】
●Recite and repeat in conversation.
When you hear a person’s name, repeat it. Immediately say it to yourself several times without moving your lips. You could also repeat the name in a way that does not sound forced or artificial.

You can let other people help you remember their names. After you’ve been introduced to someone, ask that person to spell the name and pronounce it correctly for you. 【2】

When meeting a group of people, concentrate on remembering just two or three names. Free yourself from remembering every one. Few of the people in mass introductions expect you to remember their names. Another way is to limit yourself to learning just first names. Last names can come later.
●Go early
Consider going early to conferences, parties and classes. Sometimes just a few people show up on time. 【5】 And as more people arrive, you can hear them being introduced to others—an automatic review for you.

How to teach a child to respect
As a child grows out of being an infant and begins to notice and react to the world around him, you may find yourself wondering how you possibly impart (傳授) all of the things that he needs to become a responsible, respectful adult. 【1】 A child who learns to respect all he meets not only receives respect from others, but also learns to respect himself as well. Here are some instructions.
Show your child respect. This is perhaps the best way to teach your child how to respect others. Listen to your child by giving him your full attention and he will learn to listen to you, understanding how important this is in communication.
【2】 The more you say “please” and “thank you” to your child, the more likely he will learn to use them with you and others. Politeness then becomes a normal part of any conversation.
Agree to disagree. 【3】 Explain your decision so that he will understand your reasoning and expect respectful responses. Disagreeing with you doesn’t equate to disobedience (違抗).
Control your impulse (沖動) to overact. When a situation arises between you and your child that requires calmness, keep in mind that you are supposed to be modeling correct behaviour. 【4】___
Praise, praise, praise! So much is focused on what a child does wrong and how to correct it that the accomplishments are not celebrated enough. 【5】___
A. Teach manners by using polite requests and responses.
B. Try to remember that a child won’t always agree with you.
C. Respect is necessary for a meaningful and successful life.

Frank joined the army after middle school. He did quite well in everything besides shooting. One day, the new soldiers were practiced shooting. Frank performed poorly while the rest was doing quite well. After he had shot at the target nine times but had not hit once, the officer shouted, “I had never seen such a fool! Don’t waste away your last bullet! Go behind that wall and shoot yourself with it!” Frank went behind a wall, and a few seconds late the sound of a shot was heard by the officer and the other soldier. “Heavens!” the officer said. “ Has that silly man real done so?” He ran behind the wall anxiously, only find Frank standing there straight, saying, “ I’m sorry, but I missed again.”

I am a Senior 3 student. I often quarrel with my mother over if I can watch TV after school. My mother holds the view that students in Senior 3, heavily burden with their studies, are so busy to spare any time to watch TV. It seemed to her that once I am allowed to do that I will not able to control myself and forget all about my study. She also thinks that it is bad for her eyes to watch TV too often. But I really can’t accept her ideas. I think it is relaxed to watch TV before a day’s hard work. Not only can it set my mind at rest, but it can broaden my horizons. In addition, and we can be kept well informed of what’s happening at home and abroad and keep up with the times.
Now we have at last reached an agreement that I can only watch TV at weekends, and the content is limited to news and program of entertainment, sports or science.
