My name is Li Hua，a senior middle school student．The other day I happened to read a shocking piece of news． In October，2014，a wild Asian elephant was killed without mercy in Xishuangbanna，with its tusks taken away．I feel terribly sorry and ashamed of what people did to the animal．
In my opinion，we should attach great importance to wildlife protection．The number of wildlife is decreasing every year and some endangered species have even died out．Protecting wild animals，our friends，means protecting ourselves．It helps keep the balance of nature．
So something must be done for lovely wildlife．Anyone who hunts or kills wildlife should be fined and punished severely．The animal trade is never allowed as well，for when the buying stops，the killing can too．At the same time，every single one of us should shoulder our responsibility to protect the environment．
To live in a better future，let's work together to help wildlife．
